Condensation Help

Need some ideas that work for condensation proofing the back of the board and that are removable in case something legitimate happens to the board and I am forced to send it back for repair.

I have tried foam on the back of the mounting plate...result pool of water after folding for a couple of days.

I have tried laying foam across entire back of the board but the board died shortly after and im not sure but think it may have had a heating problem.

Tried DOPING a board once and then then bent some socket pins and couldnt send it in for repairs...so im looking for some other ideas.

I get a 10mm thick piece of neoprene that extends about 8 centimeters out from the center of the backside of the socket and then lightly coat the neoprene in dielectric grease. When mounting this in a case, simply press the neoprene against the motherboard and then squish the board down so that it forms a tight seal against the motherboard tray. If you have condensation issues on the backside of the board after that then you'll want to invest in some heating elements and more neoprene. The grease is easy to remove with a little elbow grease and a tooth brush, just a thin layer on the neoprene will do.

Actually i tried that. When i say foam i meant armaflex tape and i did use a small amount of dialectic grease. My assumption was that it may have caused the stack II cooling to overheat because I covered the entire back of the board. Ill try more grease and less tape and see if that helps. I dont want to add more boards to my phase graveyard....

Maybe using liquid electrical tape might help? I think you can remove it relatively easy providing you're careful.
