cloudy water?

Well i've had my liquid cooling setup (in my sig) since june of 06 and it hasn't missed a beat. However the tubes over time have clouded up a little bit, and today for the first since june i toped of the water because as you know the level does go down.

I toped it off (no biggie) and i took a paper towel to wipe off the fill port and i noticed discoloration on the paper tower. The uv dye thats in my loop in green, but the color on my paper tower was yellow, and redish orange. Is this rust My temps have not changed, infact they're even better since the last time i topped it.

When i first liquid cooled my pc i used zerex, and frozen cpu's uv green dye. I think overtime the dye and the coolant some how didn't mix very well, but i really don't know.

Anyone have this problem before?

people have this problem all the time of liquids mixing out of the loop. but considering the liquid was at the top of your fill port and was still water it had more of a chance to mix out of your loop than the water thats moving.

i think your fine. but if you really want to test open up your CPU block and see whats going on.

yeah I think you're right. The water is still uv green, but just dulled out a little. and I remember too that zerex does cloud your tubing espicially tygon. I think its just time for a water loop rebuild.

what would be a good alternative to zerex?

thank you for the help
