raptor X vs normal raptor : noise

I've read numerous reviews about these disks , but none that showed me the noise difference between them .

Some people tell there is a noise difference , cause of the transparant plate in the raptor X . Thus Raptor X would be the noisiest .
I'm only talking about the 150gb models .

IS this really true ?

have some facts/reviews ?

the raptor X has only a MTBF of 600.000 h , while the normal raptor has 1.200.000h . So there are differences because of the window .

I'm just trying to find out if theres a noise difference because of that window .

not sure where you got MTBF of 600,000 hours from but it clearly stated outside the box of 1.2 million hours MTBF, as far as the noise goes I believe just little more noise than standard version

if you google for "raptor x mtbf" you can find it on many places .

as for the window noise i could actually believe that there could be a difference , but yet im trying to find the first one who really measured it . like in a review or something .
some people really complain about that noise in shop reviews ..

Raptor Acoustics:
Idle Mode 29 dBA (average)
Seek Mode 0 36 dBA (average)

RaptorX Acoustics:
Idle Mode 39 dBA (average)
Seek Mode 0 46 dBA (average)

I got RaptorX with me and clearly stated 1.2 million hours MTBF

I've seen the "half MTBF" issue, afaik last I read it is indeed half that of the standard Raptor, this is because WD do not know the effects of putting a window on a HDD, whether they've researched/tested more and changed it recently I do not know

Wow, a retail box? mine came in a black bag..

It's not loud, I can't hear it over my graphics board most of the time. I've had noisier 7200 rpm drives...
