lost another mobo to phase
Ok just lost my striker to what im assuming is a phase related problem but i did a very thorough job of condensation proofing. Anyway i need a replacement Sli mobo until the striker gets fixed is the EVGA 680i board just as good as the striker. I run my e6700 (ES) at 4.4 ghz for 24x7 use.
Let me know because the EVGA is the only decent Sli mobo my local Frys caries in stock

eVGA 680i is a good board but as has been noted, it has its quirks. I'm really hoping that the niggling SATA, SB, RAM issues have been corrected by now, and if so, I'd go for it.

I used an EVGA 680i for over a month and never had a single issue with it, even running at 4.5Ghz for a couple of weeks
Until I tightened my evap mount too tight and killed the motherboard .......
Here's what the backplate looked like:

Did you glob on the dielectric grease for your condensation proofing?

Ok after playing with the evga board for a day i can say that this board is horrible....the Striker is so much better that its not even in the same category.
I am appalled by this mobo the bios is a joke and the stability is so far below the striker that its sad. Sorry to offend anyone but im honestly shocked....

Yes, that is a good idea. 975 is a very stable chipset, but not great for high FSB

The board was bent slightly. I removed the bend in the board but it didn't work though
