switching to aircooling?

is there any heatsink on the market that can keep an overclocked opty stable as seen in my sig?

im planing on putting all my hardware in a lian li case thats smaller than my stacker. my computer is not practical enough for what I do. my computer as of now needs too much attention and im not always around to do that. so I really feel that having a lighter air cool setup is the way to go.

any suggestions?

well I did find one heatsink, and that is the tuniq tower 120. from what ive seen, people have being using them on overclocked quad core intels. anyone see how well they're doing on dual core opty's?

as long as the new case you have is at least 19cm wide, the tuniq should fit. On another note, if a 3ghz opty is not practical for what you do, why not lower the overclock a bit? Then you can choose between quieter heatsinks.

my opty is perfectly stable as well as reliable, but water cooling and being in the navy isnt all that easy. an air cooling solutions rids the constant maintenance and check ups.

I brought the tuniq tower in the equation because it seems like the only logical choice to cooling a 3ghz opty on air. it doesnt take alot of voltage to keep my opty 24/7 prime stable as you clearly see in my sig. oh and my case decision is either a mid tower lian li, or antecs new 900 case.

well its either air cooling or I sell the computer.
