Crucial 10th Anniversary sticks
Can people share their results with these sticks?
From what I have heard, they are supposed to be highly binned, D9GMH sticks. I have a pair on the way and would be interested to see in fellow XSers overclocks.
Thanks,

The 2 sticks I had did:-
550-2-2-2-5-1T @~2.4V
727-3-3-2-5-1T @2.475V
830-4-3-3-6-1T @2.3V
933-4-4-3-7-1T @2.15V
1000-4-4-3-7-2T @2.15V
1200-5-4-4-8-2T @~2.4V
These settings were all tested using the Windows version of Memtest (I've had issues where the DOS version has passed sticks that weren't stable). They might do more but my board gets flaky over 600MHz.

I see. You running on an AMD platform then?
Those results look promising.

Nope, using a EVGA 680i board with the RAM unlinked, some of the settings lower down (especially the 2-2-2-5) took a fair few volts ~2.4 to get stable and run hot so you would need a fan over them at least.

Pretty sure he's on 680i.
Sticks here run 495 4,4,3,8 2T @ ~ 2.15v memtest stable
534 4,5,4,8 2T @ 2.30v Orthos stable
and 590 FSB 5,5,5,8 2.4v (tho may go lower) Pi32m stable
and 600 FSB 5,5,5,8 2.4v pi 1m stable.
All run 1:1 on P5B vanilla. With a better clocking board (ie 680i/RD600) ram will run much better.

I see. I was confused by the 1T/2T but then I remembered the 680i allows for the change.
Well, results are looking good, thanks guys.
If anyone else has any more, please do post! A search doesn't reveal much useful info.

you can't get them there either they were only made in a small quantity and will not be offered again according to the tech i dealt with when i had an rma.
good news is except for the heatspreader they sell the same modules as ballistix look for pn# ending with 12864aa663. make sure they are the ones rated for 1.8v the ones rated 2.1v and 2.2v are not as good imo.

Is there anything different between these sticks and the regular Ballistix besides Heatspreaders?
Are they both D9GMH with 6 layer PCB?

read two posts up the only ones that are an exact match are the ones with 1.8v but the tech said the ones with the same #s 12864aa663 were the same ics so as far as i know the anniversary were binned for low volt. and some sites listed them as 2.2v? never did figure that out. i will say it is the most stable reliable ram i've ever owned (and i'm going on 40). stable over 1000 is possible with decent vdimm.

I am not sure but I think they only come in 2x1GB, however I could very well be mistaken.

i posted the #s above for the equivelent sticks the tech there (@crucial) said the numbers are based on the ic so as long as the # is the same ,same stuff.
and on a side notethe person i dealt with was awesome... i had 1 stick that didn't boot @ default voltage anymore and was trying to buy a new one. he asked me what was wrong with the other and i told him i was clocking it with 2.4 or so vdimm and when i went back to regular vdimmone stick wouldn't boot but passed memtest fine @2.2 or above(1.8 is default on my sticks some are set @ 2.2) he told me that if both sticks were in and only one was affected it was a bad stick and gave me an rma# i reminded him i overvolted and would just be happy if he could sell me a new set since newegg wasn't stocking them anymore. he said he would give me an rma because he would not promise they could get me a new set.then he told me about the other sticks. they sell the same sticks as ballistix and as regular sticks with no heatspreaders.
crucial did me a favor and i will buy much more ram from them in the very near future (like two weeks lol...new build for gf). sorry sometimes i ramble when i get up in the a.m.

Nice to know, I will check out those ballistix right now, as I want to run 4x1GB of this stuff, but most sites aren't selling these anymore. I guess I'll just get the ballistix if the price is right. Thx.

Hey Jimmy, that's sound like I want might too, if the price is right.
Can you tell us where to find these?
Thanks for all the information about Crucial,
~bofors
EDIT: I am looking over the Crucial site now and I see the some of the 1.8V RAM without heatspreaders is actually more expensive than the Ballistix (speced at the same speed at the Crucial store):

So the Anniversary sticks are the same as the regular New Egg Ballistix 667's? Wow I thought there was something unique about the anniversary sticks. Weren't they handpicked? Or is that a myth?

They were hand picked. I've owned both and the 10th Anniversary sticks are definitely better. They can do DDR2-800 3-3-3-8 & DDR2-1067 4-4-4-12 @2.3v

the anniversary sticks seem to be 1.8v not 2.2v which would make a big big difference.

Thanks again, but I got PC2-8000 Ballistix on sale at NewEgg last month from about $260 (I should have bought 2 sets): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146563
... they seem to be a little better than this:

.... mine can do DDR2-800 3-3-3-4 @ 2.2V with no problem and they are only $30 more (with shipping figured) than the PC2-5300 Ballistix that you have linked to.
