E6600 @4926MHz under BEFORE's cascade
[System]
E6600 L627B156 OEM
Quent's Biostar P965 TForce Deluxe bios 914 Rebels Heaven mod (Vcore, Vdimm mods)
Quent's Team Xtreem TXDD2048M800H C4DC
Windows 2k3 Server (tweaked)
Western Digital IDE 80Gb
2-Stager @ -100C unloaded
I've tried this golden E6600 under cascade today. This amazing chip did OCCT stable at 3708MHz @1.320V watercooled...
I was limited by the Biostar which can't go over the 540FSB range; but the E6600 ran nicely with 1.73V idle to 1.71V loaded DMM (1.80V bios) and could definitely scale above without an issue...
[Suicide CPU-Z]
[Super Pi 1M]
As can be seen, speedfan wasn't able to show the temps for an unknown reason. I didn't really play with timings (instead of the RAS to CAS write set to 2, tRP set to 3 and tRAS set to 4); other are SPDs. That means the time isn't the fastest I can acheive.
A better board is required to push that bad boy to higher skies. If one of you has a P965 C2 revision board to sell...
I would like to thank Quent for the board and the memory, and watercooling.fr for the chip.
Thx for reading!

Nice results BEFORE How do you like that BIOSTAR board? Was near 550 fsb hard to get?

some Biostars realy fly (like syngrows @ 585fsb) but some just suck.
If more Vcore (like from 1,7 to 1,8v does not help 1 little mhz of fsb, then you are limited by the board.
But i'm quite sure you already knew that :P

Thx guys!
@bob: yeah, these chips are hell of clockers
@afireinside: getting 420FSB bootable was impossible with original bios; but newer bioses help a lot (actual benching was performed with 530FSB set into the bios). It wasn't really difficult. Actually, the only noticable issue is to set the Vcore above 1.7V bios (which corresponds to something like 1.63V... I guess). The board fails to reboot properly but after turning off and then turning on manually it works fine.
@spacemaster: You can believe me dude, it's a motherboard wall. I've tried with different chips that were able to climb over this range on another motherboard but the Biostar always stopped in the 540FSB's no matter the chip.
@jmax: Thx!
@Extera: you'r right buddy! A better board is the solution now

Before, 4-4-4-4 is faster than 4-4-3-4 on P5B Dlx.
Maybe same for Biostar (same chipset)

Thx Eldonko
@jmax: Boot with 4-4-3 (as suggested to me by cpulloverclock) and then 4-4-4 set thx to memset gave me 10.422s instead of 10.390s with boot with 4-4-4 and 4-4-3 set thx to memset...
How do you guys manage to get faster times with 4-4-4? I believe you , and my guess is we can't really compare our times and timings because we don't use the same memory management and other registery changes. To my own experience some dword values have an effect on how timings react with Spi times.

You can disable a core with boot.ini

You'r a lucky guy I'm trying to find one of those P965 C2 boards which seem very FSB friendly.

Most P5B-E Plus boards are C2.

As far as I know, Misteroadster tested 4 of them and all were C2... 3 were Prime stables @590FSB That's F***ing amazing!
