Assistance needed with voltage

Where is the measurement point for the vCore on a P5W DH Deluxe?
I have a 50kpot on my vCore and when I trim it up I do not see any change in the bios vCore. Im not sure if this is an error in the bios reporting the voltage or if this is a result of the vDroop. Do i need both the vDroop and vCore modded?

I was thinking that just modding the vCore would be enough.

3 questions:
1) Where do i measure the vCore accurately.
2) Is vDroop relevant if you have a vCore mod.
3) Can i pencil mod the vDroop and if so where.

P5w Dh

Well, there is a thread about modding this mobo around here somewhere. I think Kyosen was the author.

What i CAN tell you is that this mobo droops - mine droops solid .04 - .06 when under 1.5V or more and overclocked. I had a close look at the resistor to be modified - it's to small for me, dont have the equipment nor the skills to solder on so small parts. Should be pretty easy to pencil it though. If it works I dont know, but I've seen som reports that the mod has stabilized the droop for some. Based on my experience on droopmodding other Asus mobos, I would expect the mod to be helpful in achiveing higher stable clocks.

Personally I don't like thees pencil-mods - they are far to unpreditable for my likes.

Look around - the Kyosen thread should be in the 'Intel' section.
