Titan 507 = daily, cased, 7ccm chiller

Hi

Sometimes ago, Martin_Ez, a member of polish forum "purepc" ask me about chiller. First He had an idea to buy Alphacool 150 chiller, but finally He decided that He want a custom chiller from me . He want to have 10-20*c liquid temp with AMD AM2 X2 4600+ oced and 7900GTX, so rather nothing really cold , but nice case was important need for Him .

Specs :

compressor: Danfoss NL7CLX
heat exchanger: cooper pipe 35mm/ 22 cm long + around 3m, 8mm pipe as evap
XV: captube 0.8 mm, 210 cm
condensor: custom made 195 x 167 x 60 mm , alu-cu, 0.395 kW, cooled with Sunon 120/38 mm (230V powered)
refrigerant : R507
case: metal case 49 x 21 x 23 cm, black, glossy coat
others: elctronic controller Everycontrol (from -40*C to +99*C), Sunon 230V fan 120/38mm on the back of case, SLHX+SLA in one

Hoses terminals are one part with case (after some work on putty) .

Premier layer.

Black acrylic coat

HX from inside .

I've put some R507 and I saw this ...controller's probe is laying (it's on the end of HX pipe), gah

I've add some more R507 to finetune the unit .

I must use some normal tape, because armaflex tape was too thick in that place .

I don't have any WC blocks, so I've used 0.5l pure 20*c water + 1.0l 100*C water, and that mix gave me 53*C liquid + I've put Maxi-Jet 1000 pump into loop

After 15 mins from turning on chiller, I got 5*C .

I've turned off chiller in that time, because I heard sound of crushed ice into HX (only pure water) .

Regards
Peter

Nice unit mate, schmicko paint job too . Can you get a decent flow rate through your HX?, it looks like the pipes have been squashed excessively when creating the coil, at least it'll help achieve a great heat trasfer to the water , not good for flow rate but

looks good!

but i would consider putting the pump inside the chiller case as make it much easier to bleed the system

I know, pipes are squashed a bit, but it's not a problem ...pulldown is quite fast, chiller work OK .

@Blaster: I know, but owner already has nice inline Laing pump mounted into PC case, and don't want to change it .

here's a question

will the water flow direction make a difference to the final water temp?
