Alexio's 2 heads ;-D

Hi

Alexio ask me (BTW quite long time ago) to build a dual-evap cooler for Him. He don't want SLI/CF unit, but CPU + GPU cooler ...and He said he really don't want 2 compressors, but only one ...instead He wanted 2 CPEVs and good gases blend - quite high needs, isn't it ?

That is mine first dual-evap, and I think it's also first single-stage with 1 compressor, 2 evaps and 2 CPEVs .
Specs :

Compressor: Sanyo C-1RV137H11AA (rotary)
evaps : piotres's custom CPU (rev. 1.1) + custom made, big GPU evap from CPU rev. 1.0 evap 8)
Expansion valves: 2* FACH "PZ" CPEVs
condenser:1.9 kW with 30W EBM fan
Refrigerant : R410a & R507 blend
Case : Chipboard 50 x 40 cm baseplate, painted black
others: 2* Mastercool gauges, 1.3 l receiver

Alexio has also asked me about thermometers ..so I have bought for Him two brand new CHYs 700T ..unluckily they aren't tunned ideal , so real temps on evaps measured by them are let's say 1.5*C lower .

Parts (or course not all) .

Receiver is so big (1.3 l), because I can't bought smaller .

"T" for connect 2 suction-lines .

That was only first run, mine first frost on two evaps together .

Both evaps loaded with 115 W dummyloads (mine 115W dummyloads are same as eg. 100% stressed A64 Venice clocked to 3200 Mhz on 1.78 V) .

CPU evap on 215 W dummy and GPU evap 115 W = 330 W

Both evaps went into small vaccum.

CPU evap went into deep vac ^) .

Ready (only GPU enclosure is left, but it's already going to me) .

I'll sent unit to Alexio in few next weeks ^) .

Regards
Peter

Looks quiet an interesting build, well done, but I'd be asking myself how well the suction t-piece will stand up over time to the forces the suction lines will put on it when the heads are fitted, I think I'd be inclined to try incorporate a brace of some description.

you mean this joint would hold up to those evaps? Looks fine to me, those flex hoses arn't that heavy that they would to cause this to bend.
