don't know what to do

Okay unusual topic, but here it goes... Were can i buy a power cable for a pc p&c 510watt?

I ended up losing mine on my trip back home from a friends house so i have no means of turning my computer on. Went to frys electronics to see if they carry extras for pc p&c, but they don't. And get this, i went up to one of the guys that works in the computer parts section to see if they have any extra's and this is what he said: "We don't have any, but we have some wiring supplies in this isle so you can make your own" I pretty much said to myself "is this guy F***ing retarded

But anyway i'll keep trying to find one, but if you know of any place, website or whatever please post.

apparently you don't know the difference. Just to give you an example. I had a seasonic 600watt that i sold to a friend and in return he game me his antec 380watt well we accidently mixed the power cords up so when we went to try and boot the computer with the 600watt psu with a antec power cord, it didn't start. We switched the power cords back and it worked so there is a difference.

You need a much more heavy duty power cable to power a psu that has 34a on a 12v rail compared to a typical 16-20a 12v rail psu.

Are you sure cause the only volts that go through a power cable is the input voltage out of your socket not the output voltage

quite wrong my friend. The current that goes through that cable is very small. Actually if you would like to know how much current goes through that cabe all you would do is divide the wattage (let's use a 1KW power supply as an example) 1000 watts by 120Volts = 8.33 amps (divide by 240 if in europe) any cheap power supply comes with 14 maybe 16 gauge 14 gauge is good for about 15+ amps 16 gauge good for at least 10 amps so even a cheesey power cord should work. (sometimes it's not the thickness of the coord but the actuall female plug that goes into the PSU that will not let it work. if it isnt a snug fit it may not be making proper contact)
Good Luck!
