Condenser Source

Besides Undertheice are there any other sources for condensers for our applications? I talked to the ceo/president of a coil producer and he quoted me $375 to tool a factory and then I think ~$30 for each condenser I just need something that'll work for an autocascade and I am worried that the little 6x6 inch condensers would be too smal. If you know of a source on this planet, please PM/Link.

Unfortunately, we are stuck between rock and ground on this. Reason I had to get that custom condenser made in first place. I wouldn't mind producing larger one but unless I have reason to use 100+ of those big sizes... it just is too much dead weight inventory in my end. I do know that some other countries are cheaper (china? :P) and willing to work with you for small quantities too. But don't expect miracle. I suggest just eating it up and getting some blissfield from local refrigeration shop for time being or go look for surplus coil shops around and counting on your luck.
Good luck and let me know if you find one

I went to my local United Refrigeration and they reccomended me to www.boisdarccoils.com. I'm talking to them to see how much limited production runs of condensers would be, if I can get the cost down cheap enough I might buy a dozen or so and sell them to various builders. Looking into blissfield condensers, steel wouldn't be an issue.

Whew those blissfield condensers are cheap, how well do they handle dissipating heat when compared to a similar sized copper/aluminum condenser?

That is meant to be used with watercooling, I'm not sure if it can witstand the pressures.

I can source condensors of any size and design, as I already told to Jinu, and also cheaper and better quality than that, the problem is I'm far away from the states, and also that I can't keep asking my dealer for just one condensor or they will kill me, or what is worse, not selling me anymore.

It all depends on what capacity you're after mate. I sell the STVF range of Lu-ve condensors, and they are rated at 470w up tp 2000w @ delta 15k and come in various sizes with a 240v fan, info sheet here http://www.advancedpccooling.com.au/Pictures/STVF.pdf. Although the 240v fan is probably not suitable for 110v, i'm sure they sell a 110v version in the states. Kayl is using one in his latest cascade that he's building http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=97321 although that's the STVF100, the smallest one would be ideal for a single stage. Oh and the prices on that info sheet aren't mine, their recommended retail, I sell them for cheaper . So do a search near you and see if any of the refrigeration places stock em .

Ebay Heat Exchanger

I bought this from an ebay seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/500-PSIG-Heat-Ex...QQcmdZViewItem

*Dimensions are 8"x10"x2"

*Possible Uses:

*AC Evaporator

*Transmission cooler

*Hydraulic cooler

*Cab Heater

*Etc.

*The ID is 1/4" and the OD is 5/16" and the tubing is copper.

It's $10 + 10 for regular shipping or 15 for priority shipping. I opted for priority and it came pretty quick. It's quite big and I think it's an overkill for my single stage.

If you want to buy it now, either email him directly asking for $20 shipped or he has a buy it now option in another listing for $23+10 shipping. He has many of these units, so you buy a whole bunch if you like. Hopes this help someone.

How would you mount that to a board or case and also make a shroud?

With some creative welding or well placed screws. Welding + condenser = swiss cheese if not careful though :-\

I just noticed it had feet for mounting to a board, that makes it alot easier. I bid on 2 last night and only got one, but oh well.

That and I have two h-50's on the way! :P
