GeIL EVO ONE DDR2 - Is this stuff for real?

I just got done reading this article on some new memory from GeIL called "EVO ONE". (http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=A...ead&arc_id=101)

Apparently it has it's own power regulation and adjustment built in addition to actually taking it's power directly from the psu itself as opposed to the motherboard.

It also has a pretty beefy aluminum and copper heatpipe cooling solution. My question is, could this really work as well as they claim or are they trying to put too much on those poor little memory pcb's?

I like the idea, but it looks too clunky.

probably too much on the pcb.. but hands on testing will reveal the truth.

edit: btw.. this thread is sort of a fine line. i'm not a mod, but i personally think this should have stayed in xtreme bandwidth, since it's a new and and sorta innovative thing that will really be something that may effect overclocking

sounds cool, don't think it'll work great in practice...
