Water temp monitor.
I'm thinking of placing this temp monitor on the third 1/4 thread of my DDC Ultra's plexi top. What do guys think?

youd be better off putting it in a t-piece, as water in the unused barb of the DDC will stagnate and thus the temps will not be indicative of actual water temps - keeping in mind that a deltaT accross radiator is often under 1c.

T-piece all the way
You could also use a free port on your res if you have one, still I like it to be close to the rad...

My solution to T line temp sensor.
My second sensor.
Get a really tiny fitting and bore it out to acept a temp sensor from a digidoc. Then solder in a copper core to cap the top. Then rebore it with a dull bit to get a round surface area at the tip. After all asembled put one row of electrical tape around the sensors wires to prevent shorts. Then put some non cunductive thermal paste (ceramique in my case) and insert sensor all the way. Add a cuple of drops of crazy glue to the tape and it will stick.
Simple as pie and in my case it works very well. Cheeper than those prefitting craps too.
