Just sold off my 2.4b Malay @ ebay. Ordered a new 2.6c and a IC7 since I saw the shootout from zroc. While post results as soon as I get the pieces.

    Have my 2.4B SL6RZ Malay "L242" up to 180mhz (3.24 ghz) @ 1.44V.
Max stable is 3.51 ghz @ 1.64V and max bootable is 3.7 ghz @ 1.71V (but not very stable ).

Got a new 2.4C..packdate 9th June. Just ran PiFast at 3636MHz using Vcore of 1.50V aircooled by Zalman CU7000 HSF normal room temp. Thats a bit over 300FSB using (a bit less than) stock voltage and normal aircooling
Gotta put some more volts and better cooling on it ASAP

edit: heres the full CPU code:
    SL6WF
    FPO: L310A847-0830
    VERSION: C30333-002

edit2: damnit now I need a mobo that will do 350FSB Looks like this IC7 is starting to act funny when past 300FSB. Gotta mod it a bit

It is a bug in the bios.

I had some funny issues with the FSB above 303mhz fsb.

I changed my display card from Radeon 9800 to an old Geforce3 card and the problems were gone.

Give it a try. I think it has something to with AGP 8X or something.

How come the pack date is 9th June when it is not yet June?

yeah its 9th May my bad

I played a bit w/ the BIOS and noticed that using 'fixed 66/66' setting is the reason for wierd behavior at 300+ FSB. Just set it to 1/8 divider and the problems went away. Had similar problems w/ Abit TH7-2 in past.
It seems to max out at around 306-308FSB for SuperPi and 3DMark2001 w/ default chipset voltage and cooling. Sandra mem at 314FSB so far.

Amazing find macci! Is it handpicked, or are you just that lucky?

At how much FSB does your Albatron 865PE crap out? If they overclock as well as their 845PE series, they might be an awesome buy for 115 eur.

what kind of FSB can you do at 5:4 ?
Also, if you still have that chip, could you test for the impact of increased Vcore at the FSB OC ? It seems to me you can go past 300 no problem with a low clocked low voltage chip but 4G+ and 1.7V and the FSB takes a major hit

Haven't done much testing yet but seems that 300 5:4 is the absolute limit unmodded. It will complete PiFast and Sandra mem but locks up instantly after running the benchmark so no screenshots (sandra buffered was a bit over 6500MB/s).
At this point its clearly the mobo thats limiting the OC (I think that the chip would go to 3.75-3.8GHz w/ normal aircooling at 1.7V..and who knows how far w/ R404..). Hell Its doing around 80MHz better than my 3.0G did w/ stock voltage

RichBa5tard, I had the chance to test 4 of these 2.4C chips today. They all did over 300FSB aircooled but this was the one that did it w/ lowest voltage (well actually I didn't even have to increase the voltage to hit that)

    PiFast 3.3 1M @3734MHz, 1.55V, aircooled
(higher Vcore doesn't help so it makes me think its again the mobo limiting the FSB and OC)
    Gonna try some modding now

    Thats some nice results Macci.
Are you saying that the mobo won't go further even when you cool the P4 better?

DDTUNG is doing some 2.4 overclocking as we speak, he's on a Albatron. He just sent me this screeny.

Macci, that's pretty damn sweet. What's the highest you can pass 3DMark at 5:4?

Ya know, the 875P is more impressive every day. It took quite awhile for folks to hit 200 FSB with the last gen boards, and that was only a jump from 133 to 200 (66 FSB). These damn 875P's have been doing 275 (75 FSB jump) from day one, for just about anybody. Hell of an accomplishment, really...

You realize one of you is going to hit 4.5 as soon as the 3.2 launches, right? I mean, the limits of 'useable' FSB at 5:4 seems to be roughly 280-285 when phase cooling.

    JC's IC7 is good for 3DMark at 284 at 5:4.
    That's 4544...wouldn't THAT put up a nasty 3DMark

OPP, haven't tried better cooling yet but increasing Vcore doesn't seem to help at all. Quite insane OC DDTUNG has got there
I think that this CPU will go to a good 4.1-4.2GHz if the mobo just can handle the FSB.
Its pretty much like my 1.6A was in the old days. Took me several months to find a mobo that could handle the FSB the chip was able to produce.

Just got my new PIV 2,4C some days ago, really awesome chip. I could boot and do some sandra benches with 285fsb at default vcore with my IC7. At 295fsb I couldn't boot into windows even with higher vcore. Is there a change to mod the chipset voltageof the cw like on the nforce boards.

Another question: Has somebody of you tested the board with Twinmos bh-5 chips. I've got two 512 sticks of them. On my ftriends nf7-s they do 215fsb 2,2,2,5 @ 2,8v. on my IC7 they crap out at around 210 even with tighter timings.

The albatron 865PE seems to handle quite a bit higher FSB:

    Aircooled 1.65V MAX WCPUID:

    R404 1.52V MAX WCPUID:

Too bad its not very fast :P Oh well I hope an ASUS mobo can handle the FSB

Prime proofed at 3602MHz 1.47V, CPU temp +58C sys temp +42C
    PIC
Hehhe its a nice everyday chip at 300FSB using quiet aircooling and less than stock voltage.
