No point in quoting all of those photos.
That box does look big, due to the size of that stock cooler. Though I wonder if that stock cooler is any good compared to those generic ones from Intel.
AMD Threadripper 12 core 1920x CPU OC at 4Ghz | ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme X399 motherboard | 32GB G.Skill Trident RGB 3200Mhz DDR4 RAM | Gigabyte 11GB GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme GPU | SilverStone Strider Platinum 1000W Power Supply | Crucial 1050GB MX300 SSD | 4TB Western Digital HDD | 60" Samsung JU7000 4K UHD TV at 3840x2160
This new Extreme Edition cooler is loud one and fan blows most of its airflow sideways, so not very good.
NDA is up for Xeon EP CPUs too now right?

I know it's a little off subject, but is Intel unveiling it's new Xeon line on March 16? Ah yes...
Anyway yeah only 5.7! It should go higher..![]()

Gulftown review at 6Ghz with LN2: http://www.madshrimps.be/gotoartik.php?articID=996
Just picked up my Intel Core i7 Extreme 980X Gulftown six-core from the Micro Center in Southern California this afternoon. Excellent launch-day prices ($999), outstanding customer service, convenient retail locations. What more could you ask for?![]()
Upgraded from a Core i7 Extreme 965 that also I got from Micro Center the day before Nehalem launch day (November 16, 2008). Just sold it on eBay a couple days ago. According to a recent conversation I had with Anand over Twitter, this hexa-core processor should be the first Extreme Edition from Intel that's actually worth buying!
The Core i7 980X Review: Intel's First 6-Core Desktop CPU
Product Code: BX80613I7980X
Pack Date: February 24, 2010
Batch Number: 3003A957
Looking forward to some great experiences with the 32nm Westmere generation over the next year! The future looks bright for Intel regardless of whether the Tick-Tock cadence was delayed by a quarter, and I am confident in the company's continued engineering efforts for unique innovation in a world that now depends highly on the success of technological advancement.
In other news, I just received my Sapphire Radeon HD 5970s back from RMA the other day. Long story short (full story here) - after two months of hardware and driver testing, I concluded that both cards were hardware defective right out of the box. All in all, this weekend is going to be one hell of a fun experience, and some of my good enthusiast buddies are welcome to come over. I'll post some benchmarks as soon as they're ready.![]()
