what competition should we do next?

i didnt include the nicks of the people who came up with the idears as i think we should all focus on the idears themselves and not judge by who made them

oh, and no! the Xtreme Oracle competition idear is not from gf4ti4200

please read the descriptions of the different competitions and then think about what competition of the 10 winning idears you would like to see, wich one you think would be most fun to do and wich one you would most likely take part in and have fun

the winning competition will be held soon and the top 10 entries in that final competition will each win an
OCZ DDR BOOSTER, a plug an play toy that lets you boost vdimm on most boards up to 3.9v!

HERE ARE THE 10 WINNING IDEARS:



1. Xtreme Food Competition
Use any food items to replicate the XS logo or anything else extreme.
Food items can consist of anything that you can eat, condiments, raw or cooked food, liquids...
You must post a picture of your artwork to be entered into the contest and list of the food you used.
The best logo wins.


2.Xtreme Oracle Competition
We will set up a nicely oc'ed system and tell you the exact specs of it
(components, FSB, timings, graphics card clocks etc.)
You will have to predict the EXACT scores it'll get in some pre-determined popular benchmarks.
The person who gets closest to what the rig finally scored (all predictions combined) wins!


3.Xtreme Case/System-design Competition
This contest could be split into 3 catagories
Air system ,Water system and Phase Change system
Submit scanned drawings or screenshots from photochop.
The best design wins.


4.Xtreme Passive Cooling Competition
The fastest system that is fully passively cooled wins.
You would have some xtreme modding done, with heatpipes and heatsinks everywhere, no fans.
Pictures, specs and screenshots and orb entries would be required to show stability and temperatures.
The best performing passive cooled rig wins.


5.Xtreme Smashing Competition
Destroy a piece of computer equipment. (monitor,case, cpu, graphics card, phase change unit...etc)
Pictures and/or videos will be requiered, videos will probably have a higher chance to win as they impress people more.
The one who most violates the equipment wins.


6.Xtreme Assembling Competition
Who can put a pc together the fastest?
You will have to get someone to video it, not edited (!), and start from scratch and see how fast it is put together.
Once its put together you have to show it booting up.
The fastest assembler of a working system wins.


7.Xtreme Mouse Modding Competition
Mod your mouse!
The contestants will mod their mouse into a funny character and submit a picture/video of it.
The best mod wins


8.Xtreme Quiz
The Overclocking General Knowledge Quiz.
The mods would come up with some questions regarding hardware benchmarking and overclocking.
We (the mods) will then use thos questions in a quiz (multiple choice).
The first one to answer all questions correctly,
or the one with the most questions answered correctly in the limited time of the contest wins.


9.Xtreme Pet Comeptition
You would have to dress your (or your friends/neighbours) pet up in the most geeky outfit (tshirt, glasses etc) and place it in front of the computer looking at the monitor.
The funniest pic/video submitted wins.


10.Xtreme Lottery
The mods would pick 10 integer numbers via random.org between 1 and whatever the highest ORB 3dmark01 score is on that day.
The 10 integers generated will be target 3dmark01 scores and are kept secret for the duration of the contest.
Entrants would then submit screenshots of three 3dmark01 scores.
The goal would be to hit one of the 10 secret scores.
If a particular secret score were not hit directly, the closest score to it would be considered the winnner.
If there were a tie, the person to first submit the particular score would win.

the next competitions will probably be the idears for a competition who reach rank 2nd and 3rd in this poll

but thats not decided yet, but looking at all the options we have enough idears to run a bunch of great and really really funny competitions!
now all we need is sponsors

I think xtreme lottery is one of the better ones because everybody can participate, not that much skill required but on the other hand we maybe need a contest where skill is required.

i know its late to give an idea (maybe just keep it in mind for use in the future), but how about a competition for the cleanest PC. Clean meaning no stray wires, no cheap zip tie jobs, and other things along the line of that. One would have to submit the photos to be judged and prove that the PC runs efficiently. Any type of cooling is aceptable, it'l be judged on how neat the inside of the PC is set up and looks and the creativity of how the job is done (either how the wires and cable are routed or eliminated without sacrificing performance or other Xtreme mods to clean up the inside). i want to se some Xtreme routing of cables and the key is to make it look as there are no wires in your PC, maybe just a bundle or two of nicely covered wires. get the point?
