Damn it would be nice to get a 2 bracket for the Matrix 580 GTX. Would be great for us that have to use universal blocks.

tiborrr: it's just that i somewhat dislike full cover block generic idea because of it being specific to one and only PCB. I hate to throw out perfectly functioning things during upgrade. All these ideas were to bring universal blocks upto full cover block features like ability to use SLI bridges, VRM/mem cooling and simpler tubing routing or using big pile of very expensive hart-tubing made from fittings.
Of course, i understand such sets probably will cost more then full cover, but still many others might take that route given alternative where they don't have to sacrifice anything when going universal route. I know that if there were such universal block tops and such VRM waterblocks now, id' buy such sets even for total cost being 1.5-2x the fullcover cost. (check support tab for swiftech's MCW-82 with pics and pricing for fittings for SLI setups on universal blocks. - 125$ for fittings sounds like good role to be replaced with SLI bridge. Ad then you can add in price of two passive heatsinks (which are costlier and more difficult to design/make). Total sum skyrockets easily.)
Oh. And tiborr: imagine such crazy setup as 4 universal blocks and two(!) SLI bridges side by side on cards like 590/6990![]()

Whats the temp in load for 1010MHz?
Damn , last night i was wondering should i order it. U just helped me decideThanks. Any trouble with installing?
By the way for this 1010MHz did you do something to the BIOS? What kind a voltage do you use? Is that the max?
Just got couple of these blocks, was real happy and ofc installed em to my DCII gtx580. Now i wonder why other block bleeds water like a stabbed pig without pump on...i take whole system apart and take block off from card and then i see this...
Thats right, the o-ring has popped off
Then i see this
seal broken...but i think the seal in the bag where block comes was intact...
Now what i should do with this interesting thing?

Weird.
Send the leaking crapper back where it came from, it will get replaced ASAP.
Contact me on my work email if you encounter any isses with replacement.

I managed to fix the o-ring, and now its holding water with 2x 35x pumps in serial. Just one thing bothering this moment, wrm mosfets thermal pad.
It says in manual that thinkness 1mm like with memory pads, but its 0.5mm that comes with package. Mem thermal pads are 1mm. Is this correct or should i get 1mm pads somewhere?

Hey, I've been checking the EK site for a few weeks now waiting for the 2 slot bracket to come in stock and it seems to be stuck in a perpetual state of non-stockness.
Seeing as it comes with the block, which is in stock, that seems rather oddAny idea when it'll be in stock? Obviously would probably get something else along with the bracket or end up paying more for shipping that the actual item costs but buying the block just to get the bracket is out of the question.
I got this, works great for me, my other EK ref block is giving me fits though (25-30 degree's hotter then this one under load)
Elo, agian! Ive had my PNY cards exchanged for DCII cards from Asus in order to use this new block. Installed the blocks yesterday and now i have a question! Why is it you can´t use waterbridges with this block? It is a nightmare to SLI these cards with these blocks onI have to figure out a way to make it look good without a waterbridge :/ Also, will there be a backplate for this block?

Hi Kvickstick,
yeah, the ports are only on the top portion of the waterblock due to the shear size of the graphics card. You are encouraged to use EK FC Bridge & Link system.
The backplates are schedules for next week!

Niko

Hey Tiborr, anyway you can post a SLI of this card with the FC Bridge to give potential purchasers what it'll look like?
Will render be enough?

Whoa! Nice! Damn, whenever I see a beautiful pic one more "gotta have" pops up in my head...
Thanks a lot tiborr, I appreciate that!
Cool, thank you.
can we use the original backplate that come with graphic card itself ?

Hi Jonik,
there was not many interest expressed in FC water block for Matrix 580. We will concentrate on new generation graphics card, sorry
Nice setup btw!![]()
