Ok i couldnt resist. i just ordered one of this in black + a SGP ultra crystal screen protecton. Shipping cost was almost as the initial price of the items but now my Galaxy will be safe and nice. I read a review that claims this one to be really thin and far less bulky than a silicon case i was considering. In 7-10 days we will see this in person, i hope

nope you have root JPH after flash and then use the latest ryanza lagfix
or you can use some of the moded roms from the expert guys in XDA some of them already rooted and themed

this is the best place for SGS infos

read very good giudes in XDA before any flash to Froyo, JPC and JPH can change your product code to KOR (korea), so you need to backup nv-data first.

JPK is out now and it's much better than JPH. Good to see Samsung actually doing work and improving the firmware for the phone.

One thing has been driving me crazy on this phone tho.

To get better battery life I have sync turned off for Accounts and Sync.

I do not wish to have my email account sync all the time and only wish to check for emails when I tell it to.

For some reason this thing sync's email when ever it does its sync cycle.

Am I mssing some place to turn email sync off ?

There is an auto sync option and a background data option. The emails is set on background data option.

hmm maybe it was coincidence when i turned it off and didnt get email notifications lol. It does say some apps may still run background data when you turn off background data. Ill see if i can find a definite answer but looks like you might not be able to turn it off within the settings.

this phone better then the htc legend and desire?? really need to get rid of my iphone!

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

just got update 1, seems like the notification bar is faster, i use juicedefender and it used to lag the notification bar when you would try to pull it down... not any more! there were a few other little chugs that seem to be gone, though still no gps fix...
