Don't like XFX? Hell they are all the same card with different bios. Just XFX has a real warranty where other companies wuss out. Can't see the sticker in my build anyway since its standard case layout. I wish I could reverse it and mount it like most of the Lian Li cases do. Hmmm WOW Looking at things and pondering a big change in the case layout. I may try to tackle this. Although I had cnc work done to the window side of the case hmmm...

I stole here photobucket wallpaper. I love abstract art and love blue. All my builds used to be blue themed until I wanted to match the office and my fiances business. Now seeing how the red, white, and black look together I can't believe I've always done blue.

    Love XFX...... 2 x GTS250s, 1 x 260-216 BE, and 2 x GTX285s.......

Just ment get rid of the sticker so as not to have the graphic (leave the one on the fan ).....just a nice red and black scheme.

Well like I said the case its in now you can't see it since its oriented to the bottom and the Haf its going in if I don't go McGiver on it will also orient it to the bottom. At that time it will be watercooled though since that is the wc rig. Have to take the powder coater to small claims court though as seen in this thread for his monstosity work he did. So I can get it taken care of. More or less will do it myself, because how I want it done I can't find a powdercoating shop that will touch the top and bottom of the case because of the color separation. When I do find one that will they will probably want $300 just to do the coating. Since I will have it prepped prior to save on cost. I already have about that invested in the color to the case.

Back when I spent weeks doing it with spray paint to have the glaze screw it up. To all the trips to the powdercoater when he said it was done or would be done and it wasn't to what I had to pay him.

I rather not spend anymore doing it.

It would be nice to pick up sponsorship to get it done, but I really don't see my luck running that way. I don't have the money alot of people do for builds so this one in August will be a year. I would really like to powder it, but can't find a place thats local and cheap that will actually do the top and bottom like I had them when I painted them.

You can see several posts back in this thread the great masking job the powder coater did. COUGH COUGH. I would have drove up to mask it myself if I knew he couldn't do what he told me he could do. Its a 45 minute drive one way too.

Picked up another Haf 932 since the other needs to be left in the condition it was received in from Ideal Coatings for small claims court purposes. As well as it being damaged by Jacob of Ideal Coatings. I've been doing some heavy modifications to the case and currently looking into powder coating again with a business that has been around 13 years. Wish me luck this time around

Not as of yet been busy with my kiddos this month. I've been trying to sell these compression fittings I have so I can order matte black ones. other then that nothing new. :-( I got a notice last night on my HP laptop that I should replace my battery soon. LOL Rains it pours. It stopped giving me warning about battery level a while ago so I would be sitting in the living room and it would just shut off. Talk about being ticked off.

Yesterday I finished drilling holes in the case for mounting and for the heavy modifications I have done to the case. So we dropped the case off at Specialized Performance Coatingin Arlington, TX today. Should have it ready by the end of August. Tentative on him not getting a manufacturing order in to coat that is. I also took one of those dang Feser 45s with me and asked him if he knew a way to take it apart and remove the o-ring so they could be powder coated. Although he didn't know he did mention that they have a ceramic coating that air dries. DING! That will work.

So he is going to coat all the fittings I have that I haven't been able to sell on any hardware forums for the last 3 weeks. I was trying to sell them to put a big chunk toward ordering BP Matte black fittings since that total came out to around $200 shipped. So the fittings are going to end up costing me $110. That's with what I originally paid and what he is charging to coat them. WIN WIN!
I'll also need to order a couple other fittings and have them done also so they all resemble the same thing.

I was cringing at the price of the BP ones and the fact I had 10 straight and 10 45s sitting on my desk staring at me. Especially after I was looking around at more parts to replace used parts that I have since I'm not too sure if they will be enough to cool the system. I've also thought of different placing for the rear rad. I don't really like the thought of it hanging off the rear of the case. I love the look of the Rad stand in the For Sale section here on the forums so I will probably have an over seas shipment sometime in the next month. Not exactly where I'm going to put it, but.....

Just got the following email from photobucket:

    Attention scgt1

Photobucket account. As such, your image and video links have been
temporarily disabled. Your images and videos have not been deleted but
will be reactivated on the 07th of the month, when your bandwidth
    usage resets to zero.

So mods if the images disappear please don't close or delete the thread.

Not to be a jerk or anything but maybe you shouldn't post so many pictures of the same thing. One should suffice. Again, just an observation. Not trying to flame you. Great project

Nothing big but while looking around at the bit-tech forums I've seen several builds with ssd windows showing off the ssd drives. So I'm starting to ponder this one myself just curious on if I want to do it or not. The idea I was having would be to put it on the back side panel above the vents (this is if your looking at the side panel with the window/fan) so it would be the motherboard side panel that I'm thinking of mounting it in. There is a reason for doing this on that panel, but I can't spoil any of those details as I've done seriously heavy modding to the case and wish to keep that reveal for a later time.

We will just say the case has undergone a spiral into another perspective.

Question for any fellow modders whom are following PSP:

How well does the 3M double sided tape hold things? I hear alot of people using this to hold windows on so there are no screw holes etc. I really don't know if I want to cut up the side panel for holes or not. I would much rather mount it via the tape if the stuff holds well. How thick is that tape? For window purposes can it allow dust to get into the case between the window and side panel or what have you? I just don't know about drilling more holes and the heads of screws or rivets showing. :-( I really liked the fasteners that CM used on the grid window and actually have enough for 3 or 4 windows now after CM screwed up and the extra case I purchased. So I have plenty of them laying around the house. Just don't know if they will work for what I'm looking at using them for. I need to make decisions soon though before Michael starts work on my case.

    8-8-2010 Case and status updates

Picked up the panel I dropped off last week with Bei Fei. Then met up with a member of EVGA forums and picked up a rad for the GPU loop (will shoot some pics tomorrow). Dropped off the panel at SP Coatings and took measurements of another panel I left there for acrylic so I can work on putting that order together.

    Speaking of orders:

I paid for a few items through Frozen CPU this morning and those are:

Your item was processed through and left our ROCHESTER, NY 14606 facility on August 09, 2010. The item is currently in transit to the destination. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

So they were shipped Priority so I can get some of it to Michael at SP Coatings.
He told me he is still looking at a couple weeks out until he can start on PSP though. This guy stays mad busy and in a shop with no AC in this 100+ temps we have been having. Big props go out to him.

Still finalizing some details with my PerPCS order to try and make sure I have everything aside from fans ordered. Sure would be nice if the Enermax fairy would visit me with a bunch of magma's. The cheapest I found these things are $12.99. I'm looking for 15 of these things. :-( will have to wait a while. I gotta start paying the DJ for the wedding now. :wallbash:

    Got some Goodies!

So I remember saying I picked up the RX360 the other day and I was going to do photos. Well sorry about that I've been rather busy with the yard. Today I received my FrozenCPU order so without further delay.......

The web picture made this sucker look alot bigger then it really is.

How the hell am I supposed to pour distilled water in the system with this thing? LOL

Picked these up to finish of sleeving.

Boy have I gotten rusty with the camera. Although the environment has changed drastically. The light box is now in the garage on a desk so I can't stand while doing the photos comfortably. I was using the kitchen table since we never sit at it anyway. Not only that its 100 degrees outside so I didn't want to take too long trying to get the greatest shots anyway. Not that a Canon PowerShot A520 can do the greatest shots anyway. I have had much better though.

Since the box takes up the surface of the desk I have to set the camera up inside the box which isn't what I did before so the lights shine on the display now and make it hard to see if the photos are clear or not with settings. So I must think up something else from now until the case is done at SP Coatings.

My Performance PCs order shipped today via UPS Ground so I should receive it on Monday. Maybe I can come up with something better by then. The table now has boxes of wedding stuff for next July so I can't use it. :-(

    UPDATE!!!!

    More goodies!!!

I don't understand why I received a Gloss Black radiator. I ordered a matte black one. Will have to see whats going on with this.

That's all for now. I have something on its way from the other side of the globe that was shipped air post. Should be here soon. I'm assuming since it was mailed on the 12th that its held up in customs. I also made an order last night for some sheets of acrylic. One piece I have to ship to New Orleans to Cangogh.

We have a neighbor who is an International Flight attendant for AA whom has been going on several trips lately to London, Frankfurt, Honolulu. He owns two houses here locally in TX and one house in Colorado. He also has land on a ridge in Colorado and property in New Mexico as well. For some reason he keeps dropping in here and then going to his property in Keller, TX as well as the house in Colorado. He spent near a week in Colorado here recently before flying back to London. He was bragging about having to mow the grass twice in Colorado.

Well he keeps neglecting to mow the one up the street from us. So my fiance was bored after mowing our front yard so she took a trip up the street......

I should have got a shot of all of her in the photo. LOL all I got was like her feet and it wasn't intentional.
Two days later the neighbor across from him called her and said "Hey have you seen Michael's yard? It looks like crop circles." My fiancee said "Yep I did it!" Later that day she started feeling bad about the crop circles and went back to finish it. LOL
I've been busy with the yard as usual planting more plants and trying to keep them watered as well as the grass with these excessive 100* days we have been having. Sometime I'll get to the jungle in the back yard. :wallbash:

I'll shoot some shots of the front showing what I've been busy with lately.

More photos and updates as well as more bad news.

Well here are the photos of my shipment on Saturday.

    Two of the large clear
    Two solid red
    Two clear red
    One translucent white
This was all a little over $50 shipped from a local retailer that unfortunately doesn't accept local pickup.

Now The UV Bulb from the FrozenQ I was talking about working with last night. I pmed FrozenQ via OCN and asked him about the tube and told him I thought it was a wiring issue. He said he could ship me out another one to replace it as he has seen this problem before. I told him I didn't mind tearing it down and trying to solder the connectors and save him a tube and post. Well I tore it down and everything seems soldered fine. If I touched the contacts it would light the whole tube although very dim. It seems like its having two problems:
    Not grounded
    Not receiving full voltage
I tryed it in both ports on the cheapo inverter that came with some White CCFL tubes. That of which the other UV bulb works just fine in both ports. So I should have a replacement tube in the mail in the next few days.

I pulled the MDPC sleeving I had left over from the psu and started working on the DDC pumps.
    Was left with this:

Then while showing my fiancee she brought the following to my attention:

Anyone else see the problem here?

Yea sure for just an everyday pc there isn't a problem. Although for PSP this is a huge problem as my detail is very maticulous. *SP I don't want flaws that are noticeable. These two pumps will be near dead center in the case and viewable on top of that directly next to each other. :wallbash: So as I stated earlier when I was trying to clean the residue out of these. I SHOULD HAVE WENT NEW. This isn't the first thing that I have changed which I originally purchased used and went new after its sat around the house.

This crap is getting very old. I can't believe I didn't notice one was obviously an older revision earlier. Not only that the internals are different (that of which I wasn't too concerned about taking pictures of. The center inlet tube doesn't line up with the pump intake in the larger res top. Where the smaller one does. The mounts for this tube are also different as well as the internal area where the hole is for the pump intake.

More details then most people will care to notice or give a rats ass about. Myself on the other hand would like to see something come out of all this work. Whether it be sponsorship or just to be featured. Heck I would love Enermax save me some grief and worrying on how I'll afford them and toss 4 Magmas and 8 Clusters in the mail to me. LOL Most of all though with the hell this build has caused; the ups and constant downs it would be nice to be featured sometime. It would make me :jawdrop:

Anyway I heard from Hugo from Cangough in New Orleans with the address to send a piece of acrylic to. So tomorrow morning I will be running by the powder coaters to swipe my side panels to make sure I get the above acrylic cut properly. I should also have the missing piece from the last waterjet cut made up and ready for pickup tomorrow so I can take the final piece to SP Coatings and get moving into rotation so maybe something can start coming together.

Now to figure out how to get two new XSPC Res tops. :waah: If anyone wants to buy one of these hit me up via pm. It will help with the $100+ shipping for me to get new ones. They are pretty clean now as you can see from the above pics. They could use a little more pipe cleaning and maybe more vinegar ran through them I dunno. There must be some trick to cleaning them I'm not aware of. At least with new I shouldn't have to worry about cleaning them too much with distilled water and kill coils being the only thing in my loops.

    So until then.......

scgt1, glad to see the project is moving along!!! I don't think I'd mess with the reservoirs, they look really nice as is. At least by the photos I can tell they are a tiny bit differently, but to me I think they'll look really nice once installed.

Congratulations on the progress of your build. Let us know how the new paint works out!

Well there is about an 1/8 inch difference in height. I can double up a foam pad under one pump and they will be even. Then there is the fact that the internas aren't the same from the res to the bottom area. Not to mention the older revision where the inlet tube is doesn't line up properly with the intake for the pump. I'm sure that is a bit of a kick to the nuts for the pumps performance.

I have something worked out though and the problem will be fixed.

Its getting powder coated and ceramic coated not painted. So yea I'm spending a pretty dime on it $305 so far unless I find some more do dads to get done also.

Got notice that the part of the S that was left out on the last waterjet cut has been cut again so I should be picking that up today. Yesterday I picked the side panels back up so I could make use of that acrylic pictured above. I would prefer to have the panels when I cut the acrylic since it wasn't cheap I don't really want to pick more up or should I say pay for more to be delivered vs being able to drive 30 minutes to pick it up. Man that sucked when they told me they don't allow local pickup.

Ever get the feeling that S & H for some places is part of the profit margin??
