Yeah, Im pretty sure I dont need to because the hitching happened on my previous 9800GX2 and GTS 250 with drivers newer than 191xx series. With drivers before that there is no hitching at all.
Luckily this does not happen in games, just in vantage.
I have a feeling its either the newly discovered PCIe power management polling mechenism found in nvidias newer drivers that people have been complaining about it switching the card from PCIe 1.1 to 2.0 in 2d and 3d stuff respectively.
Or it has to do with new fan speed polling techniques...or something else at the driver level.
It happens even on a clean install of windows. So its definitely driver related.
Im sure it keeps me from reaching my potential full score in vantage, but either way my P score is still 18k so Im content with that =)
