EVGA to launch "new card" on Halloween

GTX275 and GTS250 on one PCB
While we don't have a final name for the card, it turns out that EVGA created a dual GPU card by combining GeForce GTS 250 with GeForce GTX 275. That's right, a dedicated PhysX GPU in the form of trusty G92 [debuted as 8800, rebranded as 9800, GTS 250 and GTX 260M/280M] and GT206/GT200b GPU for graphics.

OMG its a monster "Mixture of 2 different things come on its Frankenstein but release one so close to GF100/GT300 is stupid, i know GTX380 will be in a different price bracket but maybe GTX360 will also be released" thats why its coming out in Halloween, anyone up for trickery /\ treating....

As most news, BSN = Bull **** Network.

Not shure about this tho, if this is true and price is bit higer than reference cards, then its tempting solution for single pci-e 16 slot motherboards who want to run cuda/physx, image of card looks nice tho.

But the price must be much lower than that of hd5850, otherwise it wont sell much at all.

Btw what are those 3 chips beatwean GPU's?

    EDIT : Indeed its photoshop

I did read it and I am aware that this is a mockup done by guys from BSN and TPU to show the concept. Still, it's just guesswork and a poor attempt to reinforce the story. It even has 2 NVIOs, even though Theo clearly says the card has one NVIO. This picture is not informative at all.

EVGA are BS, you checked there forums and the number of hardware faults they have..

My mate bought a EVGA 260 GT etc lasted him 3 months and died all sudden, then on board it said they were from a faulty batch.

    Waste money marketing.

IMHO nV are allowing non-ref high ish-end cards because theres nothing new due out for a while and they need to keep people interested in the products.

285 Classified... 285 Matrix, 275 Lightning, this hybrid... when was the last time the high-end was opened up for playing?

There was ONE 7800GTX 256, ONE 7900GTX, ONE 8800GTX etc etc etc

They are getting it from forum posts, so it's not some "industry insiders." I happen to know one of those two forum members mentioned quite well, so I'll ask him tomorrow if NVIDIA are planning to fly him to their Halloween party from the Netherlands

This is also on techpowerup, so it seems to be true.

It doesn't make sense though. Now if it used something like a 9500, instead of the 8800, that would work in Hybrid SLI mode it would have been much better. I would have been real good if the system used the 9500 for basically everything except games and only when you started a game the beefier GPU would kick in and the other one switch to Physx. That would have been great for a sytems power usage. Like this it's almost worthless. And what if you SLI them, what will the extra 8800 do? SLI Physx? Come on...

nvidia: damn damn damn... we need to get rid of our G92 and GT200 stock without giving them away for free... hmmmmm
    ...
ASUS: mwahahah check out our custom dual gpu card!
evga: uh... eh... oh yeah? we can do that too!
(damn they saturated the highend market, nobodys gonna buy a dual GTX285 card now...)
    ah HA! here: GT200 with a G92...
    Asus: pfffff lol what?
nvidia: oh! sweet! this will solve my inventory problems! people will think its a highend card and pay big money for it!
    evga: nvidia supports us, wicked!
Asus: ...and we get sht for making a dual GTX285 which might even beat a 5870x2 saving nvidias performance king of the hill position...

a tripple G92 card would have been much cooler...
or a dual GT200 with a G92... now that would have been sweet...
    and really revolutionary!

i have one question... can you actually run sli with those 2 gpus?
or will the G92 always work in physix mode? that would suck...

they havent thought of a marketing name? well i can see why, there is so much to chose from
    G92: 8800GS 8800GT 8800GTS 9600GSO 9800GT 9800GTX 9800GTX+ 9800GX2 GTS150 GTS240 GTS250 GTX280M GTX260M
    GT200: GTX260 GTX260-216 GTX275 GTX280 GTX285 GTX295 and soon GTS3xx and GT3xx?

how about calling it the GTX 9999 GTGSOGTX2 Ultra FTW ROFLGTFO edition?

ladies and gentlemen! come one come all, gather and listen up!
im offering you not one EOL'ed gpu for the price of a highend card, NO, 2 EOL'ed gpus!
thats right! and the G92 has actually been tripple EOL'ed if not even more thanks to being used in oh so many products over the past decade.
This is your one in a lifetime chance to buy not only one, but TWO EOL'ed gpus for their original price, as if they were the latest and greatest.
what do i need a second ancient GPU for you ask? nothing! thats right, nothing, but worry not, it will actually be disabled most of the time as its use will be restricted to cuda PHYSIX... thats right, this great card with 2 EOL'ed gpus supports cuda physix, the soon to be EOL'ed cuda physics effects standard, which will be replaced by opencl..and this is not enough, the card has already been EOL'ed before its launch, making it the ultimate EOL card ever...
Thats right, quad EOL, this card supports it, quad EOL on one card, so you dont have to worry how many graphics slots your mainboard has and if it supports mult EOL technology, no, this card has quad EOL on one card, it will work in any system!
no longer do you need to buy 4 EOL'ed cards and worry about them actually working in quad EOL technology...
go quad EOL now and enjoy the ultimate in visual computing! invite your friends and coworkers to your home and show them this bad4ss highend card and watch them cry... of laughter...
hurry up and get yours before they are all gone!

    Fixed

Never in one post have I seen so much EOL. I almost LOL

GTS 250 is overkill processing for an underused technology. I sense more heat dump than image/gameplay improvements
