The pricing on the 220 seems out of line with the target market on this card but I would imagine the price will drop swiftly.
Asus 4650 low profile. 55$, 35$after rebate. I don't see competition here. Only the uninformed or truly power constrained will be buying either the 210 or 220.

Newegg has some 210 and 220 but price is too high for it to sell.

I would venture to say they simply don't care would describe most people buying these cards, it's fairly obvious they won't be purchased for their graphics prowess.

Personally if I was looking for a low profile gaming card I would go for the low profile 9600gt which is $80AR. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814162016

I would go that route as well if I were looking for a low profile gaming card.

About the people who don't care, I have to agree on some level. Though even if you do not care, given a choice between more power or less, which would they take on a whim? Careless people are still uninformed.

I agree with that but they simply don't care either way.

Here we see another fine example of nVidia's budget card beating the HD5870 in Batman Arkham Asylum as it utilises Physx to it's full potential *cough*
Seriously, what on earth was nVidia trying to do with these cards? This is NOT 2006 anymore, performance numbers of these cards are utter poo, in fact they are smelly poo. Not even on par with a 9600GT That is a VERY poor offering from nVidia... very poor indeed. I would have expected the GT210 to be ~9600GT, the GT220 ~9800GTX/GTS250 and the GT240 to be somewhere between 9800 and 260 192.
What a load of old tripe.
There is no point having DirectX 10.1 if you do not have the balls to back it up.

Garbage for a gaming video card but they seem aimed at the htpc market with the native hdmi audio now.

While the performance of the cards is woeful, why would you expect the gt240 to outperform the gt250 (which is a bit above the 9800)?

Although that is a very good feature and the HTPC market IS growing each year, but doesn't MSI do HTPC versions of the Radeon 4770? (IMHO a much better card)?

I guess it is because I thought with nVidia having a new DirectX 10.1 GPU they would have it occupy the NEW mid end with the GT300 cards being the DirectX11 High end, performance and enthusiast cards.
