yep gb suck with high bclk...this however should shine with an unlocked multiplier...
its a known issue with gb x58 extreme....the pcie bus is whats limiting the high bclk runs...i tried pcie @ 102mhz and it would crash LOL
gb plans on releasing x58a--------revisions but i don't think they will come out..
yeah somethings wrong with my raid0
i'm using the intel controller on my motherboard...dunno what i did wrong..it sucks :|
its plain jane setting up the raid0

well i haven't done i single interesting score, this "new" 3520 turned out to be a under cold, or it's my limited skills idk.
one thing i know is that it seems to be cold bugged for dice every now and then i got the "FF" no boot. To boot i loosen the pot and turn it a bit and it booted right away.
i just poped in my old 3520, with the pot direct on the die. I haven't had a single FF no boot problem with it so far, just BSOD but that was expected .
i also experiment something wierd while trying to get a 3d score. when i pushed the cpu above 4600 my fps dropped dramatically(more than half) just like it was in slow qpi or something i have no idea. I wonder if anyone experiemented something like this
I'll focus on 3DMVA from now on to at least make a score worth it. i'm running it 751/1235 @4850 as i'm writing this

fps drops because of pcie very high...i suggest lower pcie...til scores are higher...its a pita to do so...you'll lose alot of cpu mhz but its the problem with this 21x multiplier...
my max validation at 5.4fghz was using high pcie...i lowered it to around 112 to bench 3d....
im not sure what pcie you are using...
i hope this helps
get the 3570 low bclk and high multi

stop teasing me with the 3570
they are so damn expensive here in Canada
i was using 115pcie, if i have time i'll pop the other 3520 into the mobo to verify it
i'm now using 112 and it seem fine, so i guess this is it
thanks
233 blck failed, back to 230 to AT LEAST make a screenshot of something

The last few days saw contribution by many people!
xoqolatl has posted a new record for a single HD 4830 in 3DMark Vantage, Chew* has posted a 06 run with 2 x 4870X2, our youngest member BeepBeep2 has pushed his 5600+ X2 some more and of course, long time no see on hwbot, PcCI2iminal has posted results for all his new toys. Thanks to all of you, we are approaching 6650 points!

I only need HD4870 (not tried yet) and HD4890 (been there, but SF3D dethroned me with his miraculous bios) cups to be the Vantage King of HD4800 series

This is great work by all involved. I'm jealous since I haven't been able to do much lately. I hope I can get back to posting some scores soon.

Very nice guys.
I will set up for more PCMark05 runs, but still need a lot of HDD power to get the 1st and 2nd.
One thing I don't get is how this result is done with such a low hardware spec and speed:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm05=1987222
What else you guys suggest me running with my current hardware that could get us a few more points?

That's DDR3 and probably Acard power for ya... it's not always the highest Mhz that counts, though it helps

What model card do you have?
I will see what I can make you an uberbios.bin
Already have a nice 4870 bios whipped up.

Most likely only dual 6 pin cards and reference design.

Hi chew, thanks for that but I'm afraid I wont be able to bench in the next week, and later I might not have the card anymore.
Besides, my card was non-reference PCB without Volterra or split power planes for Vgpu and Vddq.
EDIT: Sapphire VaporX is non-reference pcb with single PWM controller and wont work with reference card bios.

Yeah your right, I'm so frustrated.
Got 4 SSD's tried all the strip sizes, all combination's of OS, different memory speeds, sticks and timmings, etc etc etc all comes down to HDD General Use and HDD Virus Scan!
I will probably have to get the Acards.
Best combo for me:
- OS: Win Vista32 nlite + all SSD's in Raid_strip 128k + Ati Tweakforce XG Catalyst 9.6 or 9.8.

chew* running 05 on his AMD setup with four 4890s @ 1050/1150!
I have some new hardware to play with, I finally got my Phenom II X4 965 from Simon, yesterday I discussed what board and RAM to get with chew* and today I bought a UD5P and some memory. I saw someone found Hyper on 1333C9 Kingston sticks, so I even had someone from my preferred hardware shop look through all Kingston ValueRAM sticks for some Hyper sticks, but no luck.
So it was down to either G.Skill, Corsair or OCZ for some Hyper sticks. OCZ is out of stock, the only guaranteed G.Skill Hyper kit is the new 2200C8 kit, and for the Corsair I'm not sure which kit uses what kind of Elpida ICs. Finally I decided to buy a Corsair Dominator GT 2000C8 dual kit, that was way cheaper than the G.Skill kit. I'm not gonna pay ~300 for two sticks...
I will setup the system later today, wish me luck, this is the first time I'm using an AMD CPU, a quadcore in general and DDR3-memory...

Sorry I couldn't do any more runs, got swamped with work.
I do have two Gulftowns incoming tho, ETA tomorrow or Monday...
Question is, can I use them to bench? Not really fair huh?

Ehhh that score sucks.
I will be working on all my 3d results over the next 30 days. See if I can grab us some serious points......we hit 168K 03 prior but never saved a FM submission, won't make that mistake this time.
For team members being existing active members more than 6 months and using ATI and benching 3d If you need a bios I will help you via PM, all others need not apply.

Here`s another record despite having huge problems oc`in this card. I tried every tool there is to oc this card and nothing works. This is drivin me crazy. So i had to run this with card at stock clock settings. I must be missing something, just cant see it. Only the second ATI card i`ve ever owned so it seems a little strange to me.
