I am going to take your advice and keep this ASUS board. If it does OC a Deneb well then I will try it in the Biostar TA770 and see what it will do. Looking at SS like yours make me so stoked about AMD. My Credit Card is burning a hole in my pocket right now. I want to buy a Phenom now, but with Deneb so close I don't see the point in doing so........ but when I see SS like yours I start getting that itch. Again, great clock you have there.

    Don;t rush out to get a 9850BE just yet...LOL...

Hondaguy, is one of the very, VERY rare CPU's that OC's as well as it does, the huge majority, myself included found that 9850BE's on SB600, would only get to about 2.8-2.9Ghz stable.....!!!

My 125W 9950BE gets to 3.1Ghz stable on the same mobo, with same config. (Cooling, BIOS settings etc).

It really does come down to the individual CPU at the end of the day, and HondaGuy has got himself an excellent (but VERY rare) 9850BE.

Have a look around various forums, and the majority of 9850BE's seem to top out at 2.9Ghz to 3.0Ghz when OC@d on a SB600 mobo, and gain another 200-300Mhz when put into a SB750 mobo.

My advice would be to stick to your orignal plan and save your cash for Deneb, which should be with us in about 8 weeks time...

    HAha...

You hit the lottery with that CPU, thats the best way of saying it I think, its just like buyig a lottery ticket in the hope that you have a winning ticket.

You might get lucky and get one that wins you $10 or might hit the jackpot and hit the $millions..... yours defintiely qualifies as a winning ticket, if not a 4Ghz+ jackpot winner, its definitely up in the higher prize money....LOL..!!
