Whats the support on this board for G.Skill? I have PC2-8000 G.Skill memory and I have a extremely tough time trying to get it to run at 1000mhz or more.
And trying to run it at anything other Performance Level 9 won't work.

the trick is put ddr2 rcomp at 2 or 4 and disable ddr2 enhance mode
I don't have the ddr2 enhance on.. but I'll try the rcomp @ 2 or 4
Tried both with various Rcomps and PLs and nothing worked.
Going to update with this bios and see what happens.
*** BE WARNED I HAVE A DEAD BOARD NOW ***
I tried flashing this bios and now when I boot I get a POST code of 96 and can't figure out what it is.

thats odd. I did not clr cmos myself but that should not affect it at all. how many times have you flashed b4 this time? do you know anyone with the same board near you, if so you can hotflash it back.
guys, when talking about flash bios in biostar tpower i45, the best way to do it is using a pen drive, just put the bios file and executable in pen drive, configure the boot bios to pen and that is all.

Bad news! The b4 bios is corrupt! I have the 96 after the flash also. When I said I flashed the b4 bios before, I was a mistaken. I had flashed the 1st bios posted and not the b4. Beta b4 is bad and my system is dead![]()

I tweak cars, bikes, and computers - does this make me a spatial anomaly?
what ist th bios-relife ?
hm,maybe i shuold buy a new board an change the chipand send it back
![]()
yeah in the manual theres sometihng about bios re-life for bad flashes
oh and I was refering to the second beta bios, I did not know about the b4's till just recently, but KET himself stated that the reason these are beta bios'es is because he has not tested them himself and to flash at your own risk, I have a spare bios chip myself from a diff board that I hotflashed to biostars.
I know that more than 2.2v will kill them eventually. I only tried it for 5 minutes or so, just long enough to validate the lack of improvement. The label on these dimms says 2.2v, so I'm sticking with that (or the 2.168v that I get IRL). tRFC of 78 huh? I didn't need to do that on the p35, but I can give it a shot. I slapped them on my GF's P31 mobo and am still able to run the same timings that I was able to run on the BloodIron, which includes the tRFC of 46. I had to adjust the clock skew to get my FSB stable. I'm using the settings in the first page of the unofficial tpower i45 thread currently. I'd love to run 4:5 or 5:6, but my ram isn't stable at 1250 or 1300, and I'm not interested in kicking down my FSB.
