    • Added display for transistor count

    • Added mouseover readings for sensors graph

    • Correctly named the three on-die sensors of RV770 and RV730

    • Added support for voltage regulator monitoring on HD 4870 and HD 4870 X2

    • RV770 GPU on HD 4870 X2 now called R700

    • Added support for reading HD 4870 X2 3D clocks

    • Added display of CrossFire Sideport status on HD 4870 X2

    • Added more RV730 device IDs

    • Added support for GeForce 9800 GT, 9800M GT, 9600M GT, 9700M GS/GT, 9500M G

    • Added detection for RS780D

    • Fixed incorrectly read ATI OD5 clocks

    • Fix for memory clock reading on RV730

    • Fixed ROM reading on RV730

    • Fixed crash when no supported card detected

    • Sensor graph width adjusted when scrollbars visible

I'm not sure how the transistor count and release date could be usefull. I'm sure this data is not taken out of the chip directly, but is based on press releases, thus is not accurate.

Added display of CrossFire Sideport status on HD 4870 X2
this on the over hand could be quite usefull since atm this feature is disabled and some vendors may not even include traces to connect sideports on the board. So whenever this thing will be enabled people would know why they don't see any performance boosts.

But can you run it in the background (I had it on a second monitor actually) with a fullscreen 3D app and not crash like 0.2.6 seems to do?

it is just an educational info. maybe people realize how freaking old their card is and go buy a new one? hmm .. i should get amd/nvidia stock in that case

neither 0.2.6 nor 0.2.7 should crash in the background, can you try with 0.2.7 again? drop me a line on instant messenger if you still have that problem so we can debug it

never crash when run in background, but my friend experienced a BSOD when 0.2.7 first time. the second time he ran it some Vista service stopped running.
will ask him for more info.

    my friend's office setup:
    CPU: E4500 @ 2.9GHz
Mobo: DFI 662-TMG/G (may be it is because of the old chipset?)
    memory: 2GB DDR2
    GFX: GeForce 6800GT

I've seen in Everest a VRM Sensor display, didn't knew they had one. If it has I would like to see one in GPU-Z.

vrm temps (and a shítload of other stuff from the vreg like voltage and current) is included in gpu-z 0.2.7 for 4870 and 4870 x2. 4850 doesn't have the right voltage controller

You might be right since 4870 and 4870 Xd has Digital VRM.

What about the Sideport interconnect status? Is it showing it's presence or activity?

it shows the activation status but not if it is actually used by the driver nor how much traffic goes over it

So it's not possible to determine if vendor layed traces between GPUs or not ?

if it is "active" i would assume that the traces are there. the link seems to be a pcie point to point link which means there has to be some link negotiation to be activated?

edit: at this time everybody uses the same pcb, gpu, memory, bios - everything, except for the sticker

look at the hd 3870 x2, how many aib specific pcb designs were released? as far as i remember only one, the powercolor gddr4 card

I shouldnt say it was 0.2.6 crashing, more technically when I tried to open a fullscreen 3D app the PC stopped doing anything at all as soon as the 3D app opened. Close GPU-Z, no problem

Anyways testing 0.2.7 now to see if it still does it.

EDIT - Crashed. Maybe it has to do with having the sensors tab open? I'll catch you on msn next I see you.

Can a mod correct the original post with the direct link to Techpowerup? I like seeing hits going towards the site which has taken the time to write this great program rather than the one which just copies the info.

Wizz, I would love to see a temperature logging function.

My whish for GPU-Z: show the PCI-ID of the slot where the gfx card is in.
I have two identical 8800GTs in one pc for folding@home. With GPU-Z I can have a look on the data of both cards. But as the data is identical I never know if it refers to the first or the second card. That would be important for oc both cards.

OT: what tool would you recommend to oc two cards in one pc?

hey Wizzard, great app! Would it be possible for the SLI/CF detection to list the devices used instead of in a drop-down box? would be useful especially for score validation when people are using mixxed SLI/CF setups

i initially planned on this (had the dropdown in the first builds), but had to remove it becuase it was inaccurate. will look into this again

Is there any way you could graph gpu load? Like in Windows' System Manager. Would be great to see now when we start having several gpu's where some are processing physics and etc.

    It'll be a challenge for you, W1zzard

It shows GPU load for later ATI cards, at least my HD 2400 pro. My 8800gt does not, so I guess it's not supported in Nvidia cards.

One suggestion though... The sensor page shows 2 GPU Temperature displays.... Why not rename the second one to RAM Temperature...
