    Here is the proper link:
    http://support.ati.com/ics/support/d...asp?deptID=894
---> check "Most recent topics" (that's the lower paragraph) and then the first entry.
EDIT: His link seems to be working now.

I still can't see it. I believe it's because you went to the ATI site yourself and searched for it, so you have a session with the server.

They have all kinds of hotlink/session protection for whatever reason.

Go to http://support.ati.com/ and scroll down to Most Recent Topics the hotlink should be the first one.

Dunno, but stream out performance on 3870X2 up almost 40%, hence the Vantage score boost. Must be update to scheduling for the SP's.

I will have a short 3dmark (not Vantage) review tomorrow 8800gt vs 4850 as well as stock cooler vs Accelero S1. You will be amazed by how many degrees it won, at least I have never seen such difference before

Ha ha, I'll make a guess of 30-40° difference.
The little air system that could.

So, for this hotfix, do I just remove old drivers and install this version?

BTW: I just got the 4850 at BestBuy for $149, and I'm idling at 77c

Do you all have proper image on DVI output? Mine shows only black screen whan the driver is installed and loaded. Shows proper image in bios though.

I can't use riva tuner with the latest drivers...it just crashes after entering to customize. Also shows my memory to be 0mb. And these hotfix drivers didn't decrease my temps at all.

reapply the thermal? some members have reported a 55 degree idle after taking off the factory and reseating it.

The funny thing is that at load it only increases 2 degrees because the fans kick in, lol.

That's probably because PowerPlay still is not working correctly, that's just my guess though as I'm not completely sure. Could you check what clocks it's running when idle?

The fact that the 4850 consumes 20W friggin watts more than 3870 at idle is intriguing me. 500MHz for idle is just too high. Powerplay still not defined? In this generation clocks are defined by drivers and not by BIOS (or that's what I read in one of the reviews)

This isn't HotFixSystems.org. ATi and Nvidia need some quality control and finalize majority of the performance before releasing the cards. (Driver updates should only be used to fix issues with applications etc).

500Mhz and 750Mhz...these temps are ridiculous, and kinda freaking me out. Another weird thing is that since installing the hotfix the analog read out no longer functions, I just get a digital reading of GPU temp. The analog GPU Activity guage seems to be functioning properly.

Edit: Would reseating the heatsink with some arctic silver void my Visionteks lifetime warranty?

Drivers are a major issue for ATI right now. SO much so that I've almost gone nV a few times now...alot of games got that damn splash-screen...but I remain faithful that somethere is capable, or they hire someone new!

Why? Gpu should be good to 115c or so. Seriously. Throw it under some water and enjoy 30c temps if it worries you that much. For real, man.
