How did you adjust the fan speed on the GTX? If i set the fanspeed to 100% in RivaTuner it stays at 100% for only 2 or 3 seconds and then switches back to the default 35%.

Very nice. Would it be possible for you to run a total stock 05,06 and AM run? I know that isn't very "extreme" but knowing the zero point performance of this card would be very helpful...too me at least lol.

    Thanks

Do the GTX have the same layout as the GT? Can I use my EK waterblocks on this card? That would be awesome :- )

The distance between the holes are the same since the core is the same so I guess the answer to that question is yes

Very low chance, the entire VRM section is totally different.

yes exactly as deux says, the VRM area is different, the distance is the same as 8800GT/GTS, but that doesent mean it will work with the old blocks..

My new board finally arrived, i will play with SLI during the weekend and post some results as soon as i have them, i will also test the new drivers, will compare .40, .53 abd .70 and show it here..for thoose that are curious..

    Hawt.
Note: I'm referring to the cards, not the Intel board.

In 06 an 8800GT @ 700|1000 1750 does 5996 in SM2 and 5655 in SM3 under Vista. Of course quad core inflates the total score-

    http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/4...0636ghzpz9.jpg

I am guessing a GTS 512MB would close the gap in SM3 because of its 128shaders.

Best score I've ever got on a 8800GT on air with the stock single slot cooler was 6.3K in SM2 and 5.8K in SM3-

    http://www.madonion.com/results/show...&resultType=14

That was 746 on the core and an 1850 shader clock under Vista x64.

I may get an 9800GTX to play with anyway if they continue to land around 840 on the core or more when overclocked.
