Lets wait for E8600 Wolfies This should bring more 6Ghz+ results, as 9.5x on E8500 is still kinda short for X38/X48.

In just one week to be exact

The CPU ran for a couple minutes with 2.32V and is still alive.

With a fresh windows install 7.3xx should be doable with that setup. We decided to stop benching at some point after doing preparations and benching for more than 24 hours without havnig some rest.

    Congratulation!

    2.32v
    Hey, it's a CPU NOT DDR2-RAM!
Seems like the good clocking ones can resist higher voltages?!

No CPU can resist higher voltages... it's just a question of time when those voltages start killing.

When people bench on LN2 or DICE though, its only run for a few hours or so, its never run at super high voltages like that 24/7 or anything.

    THX guys!

After the processor temporarily 2.3 volts receive had he still ran as 10MHz higher on Mars mainboard .

6110 max on Mars, 6120 on Asus P5K

Fun aside, the processor is fortunately nothing happened . The increased Voltage got the processor at -70 ° C.
