Seems that pcmark is not very popular. And FM does not care about it either, they don't delete software ramdisk scores and they don't even respond to registered users. Shame on you pcmark

Here is my score but I am not running pcmark anymore, **uck them

15142 using gigabyte iRAM which should be allowed

I know that software RAMdisk are...a bit controversial, and I openly admit my previous score was done using one, but they have their uses in 24/7 computing, and I use it when I can.

Its free software (time limited) and IMHO should be treated the same as any other tweak. If no-one else was using one, I wouldnt either, but if ya cant beat em...join em

Even without a RAMdisk of any kind, I still pull 13K

They don't accept soft ramdisk scores anymore.

Sure they can be used in 24/7 but regular HDDs become really useless for this test as long as score is counted this way

Straying slightly from the subject...i`d like to see HDD benching based on file loading times...different file sizes, game level loads etc.

A Bench that loads a game demos from HDD (different coding styles of game..CPU focused, GPU focused, mixed etc) and some CPU tests on 2D stuff would make for the best bench IMO. The bench would be too big to fit into a software RAMdisk for a while, and would be a true comparison for real-world apps.

    A man can dream.

does somebody know the trick to do high points in the 3rd test:
    Transparent Windows (Windows/s)?

the world record achieves about 10427windows/s. is it affected by the grafic card? (he uses a 8800 ultra on 700/1200)

if i set mine to 810/1110 i just got 1500 windows/s. (about 6 times less)
    does anybody know the trick?

same question to the Multithreaded Test 3 / HDD - Virus Scan
    (MB/s).

    thanks for answers

i think high virus scans depend on board SATA controller...

btw, how you guys powering those 2nd motherboard for additional I-RAM drives ? i tried a 2nd motherboards with Abit AI7 and ECS s478 boards both didn't allow my Blitz Extreme to detect the I-RAM when connected to SATA ports on Blitz Extreme ???

i use an asrock socket a board - just powered by a 300watt power supply - no cpu and no ram needed.

i connect the 8xsata to a highpoint raid controller. (highpoint 2320 pcie 8x)

ASROCK here too.... socket 478 with Via chipset.....

@ oanvoanc: IF you have HIGH HDD XP startup and OVER 220MB/s, futuremark will NOT allow you to upload it....It "reads" it as failure.... You HAVE to be UNDER 220MB/s....

Multiple mobos have never worked for me...:S

I was using a dead p5w dh deluxe though but PCI slots had power, maybe the mobo actually has to be sort of alive?
