So final choice is Thermaltake 750w or Silverstone Strider 750w? What is better and how loud is SS?

I"m gonna go with TT Toughpower 750W as per Jonny the "Guru" recommended to you. TT is $9 more than the Corsair 620HX and that $9 is for 130W's greater power(money well spent here for $9). I really wanted the Infiniti 650W but it's $18 more and I'd lose 100W to the TT 750W.
The only drawback is the long chassis depth for the TT coming in at 6.3" as I'd have to remove my P180 bottom chamber fan. hhmmmmm, decisions decisions decisions, got 3 more days on that TT750 sale. hmmmmmmmm
edit: whoops, TT tp 750W sold out! I waited too too long on this

I went and got the Enermax Infiniti and what do you know, ZipZoomFly.com knocks off another $20 with another rebate to make it $107 + shipping($120 Total shipping included). Geez, I knew something like this was going to happen so or later.
edit: beware the rebates as both rebates want the orig. UPC from the paper insert, but the key here is how many UPC codes are there on the paper insert? It be best to call ZZF before purchasing.

Another dude here on XS once had in his sig that "ThermalTake is kinda like AIDS, it won't go away just by ignoring it!" And you know what? I agree! Had a 550W that only gave me about 350W!
Cooltek 600W is what you want to go for! QUAD 12v 20amped rails! 44.2 amps max load, when every rail is maxed out! Costs about 165$ here in Norway under the name MIST 600W, but I can only imagine what it costs over there, less I would guess, but maybe not. Got more amps than both the TT and the corsair! Meaning .... more power then them both!

@freakBYnature:You probably read only the title,so there is so "smart" answer from you...
Jetway HA07-Ultra, Phenom 9600, 4GB G.Skill 1066, Antec CP-1000, 3R Ice Age, Ultra Aluminus, HD2600XT, WD Black 640GB, Seagate 500GB 7200.11, Maxtor 200GB Diamondmax 10, Lite-On 48125W, Pioneer DVR-115D, Plextor PX-716SA
I never read title only if I answer posts. I checked out the specs for the TT aswell... low amp level i comparison to cooltek 600W. If you can't handle the truth, fine... I was only making a serious joke! Except for my bigtyp 120 VX, I will personally never ever buy a thermaltake psu again. But if you want to, fineNot my problem

The problem with some of you guys - is that you walk yourself totally blind on the WATT- stamp! Amperage is the real power, wattage is the effect of the power... so if the amperage level is low, the PSU supposedly giving you 750W can not logically give you 750W.... and if you take 70/80% efficency in calculation aswell.... 750W really is 525/600W... and then start with the LIES that four 12v rails with 18 amps each giving the total output of 60 amps... Cooltek 600W also has 4x12v rails... but maxing all (20 amp on thos by the way) at the same time gives max load of 44.2 amps... so four 18 amp rails giving max load 60 amps is just plain and simple bul*LSHI*T!
So my conclusion is... If you want to continue lying to yourself and thinking the 750W TT is better than the Cooltek 600W... keep on doing that!
EDIT: I just read you're not an xtreme member, but "PSU Expert" and the other one "Extreme PSU tester". Listen, all I'm saying is, that specs can lie, and TT does just that. Cause using one rail at a time will maybe give you PEAK ONLY 60 amps... but only maybe... there's leakage in consideration aswell. But using all rails at the same time will not give you that number, and curtenly not 750 Watts, when taking in consideration that the 600w cooltek has stronger rails and amp x volts = watts (if I'm not totally mistaken).
And just hear this. I will stand corrected if I'm wrong, I am not trying to make anyone pissed off because I maybe diss their favourite brand or something, but take it in consideration that I've been playing with computers for the last 18 years, I'm not 100% blond... but I don't like ThermalTake PSU's - that is my personal opinion and is it not up for debateI know the man will be just as happy with the cooltek 600W instead of the TT 750W
That's my main point in all this.

Excuse me? That's just jibberish. The current times the resistance gives the power. This is usually written as P=U*I. This means that at any specific voltage, increased amperage will give increased power and vice versa. You can't treat them separately as you're trying to do.
Again, wrong. If a PSU is specified for a certain power output, it means that it can deliver this power after internal efficiency loss. Consider two 600W PSUs, one with 70% efficiency and one with 85% efficiency. Both will give a max of 600W out, but the 70% efficient one will draw 857W at the wall outlet, while the 85% efficient one will draw 706W.
The facts are, the aforementioned "Extreme PSU Tester" (and he is not the only one who has proved this) has in fact reviewed the PSU with a load tester and found that Thermaltake is not lying. It can do 750W. It can also do 60A combined at 12v, just like it says it can, as long as the internal temperature doesn't get too high (has overtemp protection).
And that's not all - your Cooltek is not only from the same factory, it's most likely built on the same platform. So, knocking one is pretty much knocking the other. Sure, Thermaltake was at one point guilty of selling cheap Sirtec made units and overpricing them, but that's in the past. They've changed a lot since they adopted CWT as an OEM for their power supplies.
But what do I know, I've only been in electronics for 19 years now![]()

I didn't remember how it the math went aroundbut I think you misunderstoud me, I'm not saying that they are separate, we are on the same page, but with the previous bulls*hit TT PSU I had, I really didn't think there were any hope
And like I said before... I stand corrected
