hey sierra that was a run with a bunch of stuff running in the background

here is a clean run with a MUCH better time at only 3.6GHz as well

@ 3.8ghz its right at about 13 seconds.
wierd. why is yours so slow

    odd.
    i don't have the tweaks for 1M

in fact I do not bench for fast 1M but simply just the highest clock i can get so i have a few windows running

32M is a different story for me

compare your times with mine for the 3.6GHz and 3.8GHz runs with Allendale and you'll see what i mean

we are yet to see people seriously bench SuperPI on 965+allendale

i'll make sure that sentiment changes that's for sure.....

my only gripe is that the motherboard does not give me 500-600 speeds reliably so the answer maybe to get the asus..... but i still have some tweaking to do

What I'm saying is that clock/clock, Conroe will beat Allendale, especially in 32M. How high Allendale clocks is a different matter. Conroe will beat it at any speed. If 32M is your thing, you need Conroe and a 975 board. Coolaler and the Japanese are setting all the records in Pi. Look at the boards and CPU's they're using.

yeah that's true but good conroes are hard to come by........if certain batches start performing like some of the Step5 B1 i'll be getting into it for sure

i think that conroe beats allendale in 1M a LOT more than 32M actually

    Thoroughbred b,
You can check the week from the "FPO/BATCH" # printed on the cardboard package of the cpu.
That's if your chip is retail.
You were not supposed to see this.
