    It's a Thermaltake Sonic Tower, not a Sunbeam Tower 120.

    If so, then you should be able to get Crossfire to work as well. I'm curious to know what speeds those PCIE links are at, 8x each or something asymmetric?

    Yah, try setting more than +.5mV (2.3vDIMM) in BIOS, see what happens. (WONT BOOT)

    Or, better yet, try going over 1.6Vcore, see what happens.
    (WONT BOOT)

    Anyway, dont trust the BIOS screen shots. Gigabyte released a motherboard that isnt exactly functional yet.

    Allendale E6300=FSB of 475++++
    Conroe E6600/E6700=FSB of 400 if you are lucky.

    COOLALER, if you have any contacts at GIGABYTE plz help us out.

    Had a chance to test a 7950gx2 on the DQ6 yet? Also, did you have to remove the crazy cool heatsink to get the bracket of your heatsink on? If so, did your northbridge temps seem to go up much?

    crazy cool easily comes off... doesnt seem to really do anything.

    The BIOS just sucks, the board seems good. I am able to overclock E6600 to 3900mhz on air, super pi 1M stable. Cant boot past 400Mhz in BIOS, but in windows no problem.

    Pretty impressive stuff, just a LOT more to be desired.

    DQ3/4 or 6 would be nice boards for E6600, kinda hard to max out the FSB with an E6600 b4 you would max out the chip on air.

    Anyway, Imma go throw the E6700, see how she does.

    i am not saying this with any sarcasm...want to find out if i "need" this board to be paired with my E6600...

    you say that you are not happy with the bios...but...it is fine with the E6600...which is it!...i can't imagine your description of the bios as "sucks" as being compatible with any conroe processor.

    again, not critical...just an enquiring mind wants to know

    PS....Anandtech review kind of agreed with you about bios...but in the end they blamed it on a flaky board instead of the bios.

    Have you tried bios F3a? I've got this board coming on Tuesday so I'd be interested in your results with your e6600.
