@kyosen: do you experience any boot problems or problems getting higher than FSB400? the Administrator of the german Forumdeluxx got a P5W-DH, too and he uses a Vapichill.

he has experienced several problems so far: not getting above 400
reboot bug at app 350mhz FSB

might this be a "Coldbug" like the AOpen had?
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks

    4.5G by LN2

This board has *only* upto 450MHz FSB setting on both BIOS & Ai Booster.
My E6700ES reached MAX FSB, so x10=4.5G

And several answers for your questions:

Stelios> Kyosen , do you find this board faster than the Intel bad axe ???
    --
At least in FSB:RAM=1:1 setting, P5W-DH is slightly faster than
    D975XBX@FSB=1067mode, I think.

Nasgul> That E6700 can't do 4.0ghz on air? How about using a Tuniq Tower 120?
    --
    Sorry, I've not tried air-cooling...

Vanovich> kan you tell me if the lightspeed clamshell kan fit on/around the cpu?
    --
What is "lightspeed clamshell" ?...I don't know it, sorry.

Waus-mod> Now does any one know what fsb these boards are capable of?
As mentioned above, it limits upto 450.
I hope that BIOS or/and ClockGen update will help it...

FischOderArl> do you experience any boot problems or problems getting higher than FSB400?
    --
Hmm...BIOS has no Vcore and no multiplier choice for Conroe now,
    so I always start FSB350...

FischOderArl> might this be a "Coldbug" like the AOpen had?
    --
My E6700 system freeze below about -150deg-C,
and cold boot needs -140deg-C above.
-80~-90deg-C (and Vcore=1.624V) is enough for 4.5G 3D run, in my case.

And many thanks for your interests

thanks alot that Board looks good good I preordered it

but you increased the Chipset Voltage for 450mhz FSB now, didn't you? would be insane if not 450mhz FSB without Mods or rising voltages

Kyosen, have you a link for Bios 0401 ?
    I have an Asus P5W DH Deluxe with Conroe E6600 and with my prommy (-35° CPU) impossible to have a FSB > 422MHz ??? The maximum is 9 x 442, 9 x 423 = FREEZE

    I have modified multiplicator and 8 x 423 = Freeze...
    Thank you.

Can anyone confirm one way or the other whether you can fit the Vapochill LS clamshell on the P5W DH motherboard? I guess from CornerJacks post you can fit the Prommy one...

thats not so totally overwhelming isn`t it ....

for most of us the intel claims of better memory performance
of the 965 chipset is the interesting question

so what about some everest memory benches of the unmodified P5B de luxe board

and don`t force Kyosen into a benchmarkbattle

Is 4Ghz+ not possible with this board then without these mods?

I, too, would like to know this. Are those mods really necessary to push Conroe to 4Ghz on water with this board?

    Veq(Vr value)

Maybe a 200k VR would be OK.

I don't know wich resistance is needed to get the Vcore stable. If somebody can test this..

kyosen, can you change the vcore in that BIOS?
Vcore options are greyed out on our board and OVP kicks in at 1.610 with hard mod

maybe it's possible to find a OVP mod
