    catylyst 6.2officials comparison

Both cards are using stock clocks with settings on performance in CCC

    x1800 xt 6.1 officials.........3876 3d06
    x1800 xt 6.2 officials.........4073 3d06

    same clocks same performance settings....with a single core 3700+ @ 2.5 gig

    x1900 xt 6.2 beta's.........5935 3d06
    x1900 xt 6.2 officials.......5937 3d06

    same clocks same performance settings....with a dual core x2 3800 @ 3.0 gig

I deleted my score with the drivers that came on disk with the vidcard but i think the x1900xt scored 5663 with them at same settings.

hmmm with my card at CCC max 689/792 I score 4973 in 06 which my cpu at only 2.48ghz and single core to boot. You should be getting much higher than 4912 for your gpu speed being higher.

Mine went up about ~300 points for my X1800XL. Scoring 4617 (621/688.5) now from 4340 (which was using 625/730)

That was going from 6.1's to 6.2's.

But does your son have a Dual Core system or is it single core?

Truely I think his results are pretty much inline for a single core XT setup. With dual core be in the upper 4k's. I mean I have a XL and not totally near XT speeds but I score decently.

    Using Opty 148 @ 3.0 Ghz, 2GB OCZ EB PC-4000 and DFI Ultra-D with X1900XTX.

With 6.2 Betas and 6.2 WHQL (after a system reformat) I scored EXACTLY the same in 3dm 06!!!! (max CCC 690/800)

Nice one thing is fine for what i look: this new X1900XT(X) seems really perform better at lower speed of a XT1800XT ( i m far have finish oc mine at his max level...)

Both were done on me daily/gaming HDD no tweaks at all. For single core & stock X1800XT this really aint that low.... I couldnt get the 6.2b to work either.
