any cold bug issues?
is that "retail bios" or a special one?
with a pentium4 @ 7G or FX-57 @ ~4.5 ghz thats maybe possible.Originally Posted by GoThr3k

Back in the phase change world
Well, this weekend some japanese guys had a P4 at over 7Ghz stable for 15 mins (or more), and got the WR on Super PI.Originally Posted by Jort
I don't know if that's stable enough for 3DMark...
in my experience, a CPU that lasts for a 8m of SuperPI is totally stable enough for 3dmark. Somtimes even 1m does it, but 8m is almost cert.

@ 7ghz I'm sure the processor was pulling 300+Watts, that in combination with 80-130W graphics cards. . . you'd need a very reliable 700+W PSU or so to be stable through 3dmark, also assuming the board dosent burn up with so much current running through it.Originally Posted by don_vercetti

im sure an a8n32 could handle it, with them nice 8 phase cpu volt regulators.

that'd be my ticket too, or their new 1KW PSU as well.Originally Posted by AACDIRECT

The 850 has to many 12v rails the zippy 700 watter would be the ticket![]()
Well - in the chart I saw on vr-zone the single card score was about 2000 pts increased with the 512mb GTX, which was done with the cores @ 810 on both cards, but the memory was about 500mhz faster on the 512mb GTX... and the SLI'd score does not share that same large jump, they are faster, but not that much.. so with tuning, drivers, more OCing, etc.. I think 20k might be doable. but it's not going to be easy... I do think SLI is hitting cpu limitations here... as is being speculated above..Originally Posted by GoThr3k

does anyone think a dual core at 3.5ghz would be better then a single core at 3.8-3.9 ???
im thinking with the new drivers that take the sli overhead and give the work to the other core the dual core may be faster?? could anybody that has these powerfull cards test this?

Fix ps3

Sampsa and Shamino both have 7800 "U" gpus ES.
I havent had time to check reviews but do this clock better then "retail" ones ?
Everything extra is bad!
Try the new Official Forceware to see if there is major improvements...

Man, Shimano's new scores are huge.
Thanks. I feel they are pretty cool for an OEM system. 14400 in 05 was my best score with it. It is running quiet fans/small rads...not built for max OC. Built for daily use. I think it runs real good.Originally Posted by G H Z

wow, some seriously nice scores going down here :o

a PE version will not match the new 512 GTX. Single card GTX is already over 13K while the XT's are mid 12K with close to max clocks. Not to mention that the retail XT's do not appear to be anything like the cards macci & Sampsa tested.
ATI's only hope at this point is CF as we have yet to see what it's capable of on X1800 platform in the right hands.
