    Venice E6 stepping reccomendation

    Is there a general reccomendatin for a good E6 stepping?

    Are the E6 dual cores with one disabled?

    AFIK no! It's a slightly modificated E3, I think that SSE3 instructions are impelmeted better than in the E3's.

    They just fixed a few minor microcode bugs.

    It seems that very early E3s and very early E6s are the best overclockers. I don't see an indication that later E3s are any better or worse than later E6s.

    well a buddy of mine just got an 0532 E3 that goes w. stock voltage to 2.6 Ghz while the old 0520 needed 1.6 for 2.5Ghz.

    i had a "early" e6 0528 that didnt even do 2500 what ever voltage and i got a e3 0533 that does 2600 at about 1.5 but no more than that.....well that one might be dead im not sure yet

    My week 33 E6 3000+ runs at 330 htt for a suicide shot but runs 310 stable.

    I don't remeber complete stepping. I trashed the paper I wrote and I don't want to remove my AS5. I use 1.65 voltage and is still cold using air. 38ยบ idle and 46ยบ load with XP-90C with a 50 CFM / 35 dba fan.

    We have too many threads on the same thing.

    Anyway, new 3200+ E6 doing 2550 MHz stable at 1.55 volts. Didn't try higher volts yet, 2600 MHz at 1.55 V does not work. In DFI LP NF4 SLI-DR and Zalman CF 7700 CU.
