DFI LP ultra-D wont get to 230FSB×4HTT- CAS 2,5 total refusal of cooperation!

revision is R.AB0, CPU Venice YBBE 0523 E3, 2 ×512 Corsair Xl (TCCD) enhance 520W
at 220FSB everything is stable but 230FSB×4 HTT no way. BSOD and even there's nothing visible in the BIOS just a blue screen, then I have to move arround whith the cursors to discover each of the settings.

    I'm really p***ed off!

Oh yes it does not matter if the memory is 2,5-2-2-11 or 2,5-3-3-11 or 2-2-2-11.

Any suggestions or should i just smash the board into pieces.

get moa vcore on ya venice and relax timings to 2,5-4-4-8 for testing cpu, you have to test the max for your cpu and ram without overclocking the other things to be sure.

well the CPU was tested by the former owner on a Chanitech Zenith nF4 it runs at 2,8Ghz at some 1,65V. So it shouldn't be a probl.
CPU vid set to 1,375 and Special VID to 110%.

The thing which I don't understand is the fact that i'm seeing nothing in the bios.

    hmmm

remember as you ramp up HTT while using a memory divider, you need to increase max-async and read-preamble timings. The SPD puts them too tight for higher memory speed. I can only assume the max-async/read-preamble items really only come into effect when NOT 1:1 memory dividers are in use.

To setup the identical result.... 2750Mhz and 250Mhz memory speed... I had to use different numbers when using 1:1 250Mhz x11 vs 305Mhz x9 (5:6 divider for 250Mhz memory). 7.0/fastest/5.0ns was fine @ 1:1 while 5:6 required 10.0ns/normal/7.5ns to work correctly.

Like whoa! I didn't know that at all. That is really going to help me while I'm overclocking this new ram, Buffalo Micron -5D B 2x1Gb, and new 3200+ Venice. I have been messing around with the timings in bios but I wasn't really sure what some of them did. Thanks for letting us know!

oops ! I have no idea with this , but my memory ran fine with all divider ( 1:1 , 5:6 , 3:4 etc ... ) and max async/read preamable are 7/5 at all the time

Search for "DRAM response time" in genie bios> DRAM timings.
If it's set to "fastest" my system fails to get past verifying DMI pool and simply restarts.

Setting this to "fast" or "normal" solves this problem and makes my system a hell of a lot more stable.

    Might be worth a shot.

    Update
200HTT×4LDT 2,5-3-3-11@2,9V NO GO! BIOS black screeen! Have to use cursor keys to see anything, and no letters just white and organe exlamation marks.

    Clear CMOS
    Memory into yellow slots
    reboot

230HTT×4LDT 2.0-2-2-11@2,8V( 0,3 overvolt enable) unstable windiows crash.

230HTT×4LDT 2.0-3-2-11@2,8V (0,3 overvolt enable) windows so far stable, starting stability tests.

Now one big question DFI-bios.tk says "-3 bios for TCCD" but techpowerup "-1 TCCD bios" whom should I belive?

Since at cas 2,5 I'm getting a corrupted picture could it be a memory-VGA problem?

    Update:
    passes Super Pi 4M.

Damn board! It turns out that as soon as I set CAS 2,5 on the memory it refuses to cooperate. This time I can't even get to the BIOS, just a blinking cursor.
Windows? Just getting the messgae that system.ini file is missing or corrupt.

OK I know I'm getting boring BUT!
As soon I select CAS 2,5 in the memory menu with whatsoever settings the board posts but nothing after that. I cant't get into BIOS, if I don't try to enter the bios, I'm getting blue or white smileys or exlamation marks ( this sign ! ) in various colours.

Using 6/23-1 beta (oskar Wu) bios from Techpowerup.

Tried just one stick does not help. This problem exists since I bought the board.

tried all four slots No go!

    Ideas?

CAS 3 Board does not post!
