Don't buy the Patriot Viper ... I have a kit 2x1GB DDR2 1200 and they are not D9 ... on taking the heatspreader off I found they are Elpida's. And settings of 5-5-5-12 are NVIDIA mobo profile's. On my Gigabyte EP45-UD3P I managed quite hard to get them at 1200MHZ and that with 5-5-5-15 latency and 2.3-2.32 vdimm. Also If u are going Q9650 way and don't need crossfire buy yourself a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P ... they are the best mobo's for Quad clocking and gonna save yourself from lot of problems comparing with u'r current mobo.

From my point of view Q9650 + Gigabyte EP45-UD3P + 4 or 8GB OCZ Blade Low Voltage series is the way u should go. It's the best decision I think one could take.

That's my opinion. Hope it helps you
