    880G is preaty new...

    Her time will come...

ASRock push most of the work for the 890GX.
The FX is not as popular as they where thinking,
and it is because of the desing of the board.

The 890FX looks worse than GX, has less connectors for the fans, has a 40mm fan (how loud could it be?),
and there are more FX boards that give you more for some extra bucks...

880G looks great too, its 890GX full design...

I havent tested it yet, but shure i will.

Have testet the 770 Extreme 3, and it is a great board for the price...

Can somebody post their oc settings for a 1055t around 4ghz. I have just moved my 1055t from my Asus M4A785D-M PRO where it was stable at 1.5v 14x286 nb 2860 ht 2860 4gb ram nb 1.3v. On the asrock running 4gb ram fails instantly at 14x286 1.52v nb 1.4v tried bios 1.95/1.80

The BIOS are buggy, it does the same exact thing with the 880G, I use CPUID to monitor volts and temps.

It's not a bugg at all ...Oc tuner shows the value of voltage set in the bios, it doesn't know when the voltage is fluctuating. It read's only the value set on bios.
Actually the motheboard overvolts the voltage set in bios even in load especially at more than 1.5v

if you really want to know, use a DMM. same goes for temps, use a real thermometer, though it's harder to implement.

    I use many different bios.
    I can't pass 860-880 with any timings and multi with 890GX Extreme3
(from 6-7-6-21-27-1T to 9-10-9-28-42-2T, other sub timings "AUTO"
3.33x is tiny bads of 4.00x for me.

    I use 1055T, bios 1.8 and now 1.95B, with G.skill DDR3 2000 -GBHR.

    For daily, works fine with 272x14 - 2.66x multiplier, memory at 724 6-7-6-21-27-1T - 1.675V.
    Max stable (Memtest86+ 4.01, test 5 - 20 passes) is 750 - 1.683V

coming from dc opty 939 this thing is faaaaaaast

    testing my 1055T right now:

    htt @ 334
    cpu @ 3840 (x11.5) 1.43v
    nb @ 2672 (x8) 1.41v
    ht @ 2000 (x6)
    ram @ 1333 6-6-6-18-24-2T 1.62v

    windows 7 pro x64... prime95 some 40 minutes in.

i'll get to 4ghz with some luck. i think it was stable at 4ghz one time with nb/ht/ram dropped to a minimum, but it needed like 1.48v and the 880G overvolts about 0.05v on load according to bios and cpu-z. not that software readings can be trusted, but all programs are indicating a voltage bump on load. i guess it's better than a voltage drop like on asus boards.

the 880G is a pretty solid board so far. BIOS 1.0 it came with was very buggy and unstable, but BIOS 1.4 seems to do everything i want. Turbo and CnQ are actually turned off now that i've told them to. also the bios profiles are a plus, but i already had that on my previous 939 dfi cfx3200. rams were unstable at stock on the outer two (white) slots so i placed them in the blue slots and everything is fine. so people, take note! as this can also the case with the 890gx.

i'll keep you guys posted on whether i can get this chip any higher (now that the AS5 has set in a little).

Yep 1.4 is currently the best way to go, for me though I still think the bios is buggy, maybe 1 or 2 more revisions and I will be happy.

Im asking myself how loud is the 40mm fan...

If it is too loud, it should be replaced by Sharkoon 40mm fan, that is wery thick and silent...

^ try the other ram slots, and maybe drop the vcore since it's probably overvolting to 1.6v.

my NB needs way too many volts past 2.5ghz and i'm starting to believe it's not my NB but rather the board.

also, i was priming once at 3900mhz 1.45v (1.5v cpu-z) and it shut down, upping the volts toward 1.485v didn't help. i have a strong PSU so it isn't that, and the VRM should be adequate right? seems like some sort of over current protection still. could be that 1.4125v NB is just way too much.

I still have the voltage issue, where it seems like CnQ is kicking in, even though I have everything set to not make it so. It either gets better (Less often) or worse depending on what I have Vcore set at, which is kind of odd...

Why you use such a high fsb, 334 and such a low multiplier, you just increase the effort on cpu and mb when you can use a higher multiplier and a lower base.
    I recomand you to use
    cpu @ 4ghz (286 x 14) 1.5v
    NB 2288 (x8) 1.25v
    HTT 2288(x8)
Try this and if it works than you can raise the NB to x10 to 2860.
I think than the motherboard becames unstable at more than 300 FSB, base clock.

I have the fx board and the fan is quiet. This board is very good and stable, May not have all the options as the big boys in the bios. It has all you need plus floppy and ide if you still need them. Running 1090t at 4.0 MHz and volts are very stable on this board.( prime95 x 6). This board is a sleeper or should i say a keeper.

I was in the white slots, and yes when at 1.52 HW monitor was showing 1.6v, I dropped the 1055t back into the asus where it currently sits at 4ghz spent enough time on this for now, not impressed with the board at all.

This board seems to love voltage, you would think it would at least benefit from it

My 1055t would throttle in my asus, the pwm was getting way to hot and would drop until cooler, if I did not work out the problem it would have looked if cnq was kicking in
