With the Q9450, what would do you think I could safely OC it to for everyday gaming use using an Ultra-120 Extreme cooler?

Also, what do think I could OC the Q6600 to with the same cooler for everyday gaming use?

    E8200 FTW!!
Its half the power, half the cores and half the price of the quad core Q9450.
    Even student can afford $160.

And ofcourse you can overclock the bejeebus out of it... if its not a good chip, you can do your own binning... buy a 6-pack for less than a Q97xx.

And as others and I have mentioned before, Wolfdale clock higher fsb, and usually let you get higher overclock. Vast majority of apps you run are not muli-threaded so they would run faster on higher clocked wolfdale.

Yeah me too, and the dates are all scattered, Tankguys doesn't seem to have
an eta anymore on their site for the q9450, and several others say 24:th mars, so god knows
    when they'll be available.

For what I've seen, most retailers have the ETA set on 3rd march. Some others show 2 or 3 units in stock, shame they don’t ship worldwide.

Wait, so now folks are in a rush. How long did you guys wait for A64, X2 and now Phenom? You skipped Conroe so why should you even care? At least this is worth waiting for and even in April it will be worth it
