Johnny ,
I tried b06 and b09 and this two bios vcore settings 2.11v ok but not up to 9x multi with QX9650![]()
Only beta bios02 working up to 9x multi
Brandybuck can you try this:

Just flashed your "final" bios 12 btw, works great
I got my Q6600 priming@480 FSB so far... however the magical 500 seems to be out of reach. Can bench@495 but not even get a CPU-Z@ 500. Oh well, I guess it's the CPU - but maybe the VPLL mod helps. Hmmm...![]()
I tried official bios 12 but still not uo to 9X multi, but ıf I enable all cpu features (speed step) , change multi up to 9X . Cpuz shows normaly 6x but under load change 12x

CPU VTT Mod

Thank you jhonny ı will try![]()
Jhonny , is it vcore mod? or only CPU VTT higher up to 1.5V
thanks for the vtt mod![]()
will try as soon got time
btw does the reading on the bios real for the vtt?or we have to make another read point on the board?
It's reasonably accurate
ive just try to find other point that easier for meand found this point
mark with black arrow marker.
please tell me that the point are good enoughthen i can solder from there to ground
Johnny , I'm waiting your vcore mod for up to 101k![]()
This score only 1,88v with Abit, I know over 2v vcore up tu 5600mhz benchable

anyone knows Vcore and CPU VTT read/measure point ?
p.s. I found CPU VTT read and on my motherboard 50k VR is not a good Idea. I was wondering why mod doesn't work and now I have got my anwser. It's more like 500 ohms VR than 50k

OC-Lab.si!!
Any vdimm mods?
What bios would you recommend to use on this board?
I saw a few modded on Clunk.org forums, but dont know which one should I use.
Thanks.
And Johnny Bravo, nice work, keep up![]()
I will check what resistance exaclty I need for +0.2V, I did the mod with 50k VR. I tuned trimmer couple of times, no difference in BIOS or Guru readings and this was in the middle of LN2 benching. So next day I set to figure out what is wrong, so I found read point and do the measurement with DMM and I figured out that BIOS is quite right and I had to turn trimmer all the way to the end and then voltage jumped from 1.4 to like 1.6 in an instant.

What are you setting the voltage inin the BIOS. For me 35Kohm ups the votage 0.2volts so it you are aiming for say 0.8 volts you can set ti the CPU VTT to 1.6volts in the bios and up the voltage using the variable resistor.
I wil show you the CPU VTT read point I use once I get the image hosted
Red point marks CPU VTT measure point that I use
you have found the most unavailable point
I use this one, about bios selection it doesn't mater much which one, it's about the same on all
p.s. need vcore mod![]()

problem with taking reading from your point is that they are not accurate, that is inside the switching circuit, so not a DC signal but AC - needs to be measured past the large inductor to the left of ur measure point![]()
Did a quick test this morning and the difference between my read point and your readings will be 0.3volts lower than mine, so you'll be suppling that 0.3volts more to the cpu than you think! I strongly urge you to reconsider your CPU VTT readpoint.
The CPU vcore mod will be up sometime tomorrow as I need to solder it on and test it, then take photos![]()
