    Quick bench HD3870 vs GF8800GT on QX9650 Dice

    After come back from some event i remain dryice about 3kg and i try some bench between GF8800GT and HD3870 by QX9650 on DICE, for VGA i tried with max OC on stock cooler, only have 3k06 result and one AM3 on 8800GT

    system..

    QX9650ES@4920MHz (410x12) 1.912V
    ASUS P5K3 Deluxe, Vcore mod
    CellShock DDR3-1800C8@ 820MHz CL7-6-5-18
    Sapphire HD3870@843/1143MHz Stock cooler
    ASUS GF8800GT@712/900MHz Stock cooler

    Western WD800
    Thermaltake 1200W

    Results....

    ATI HD3870@843/1143MHz - 3k06


    GF 8800GT@712/900MHz - 3k06


    and one AM3 on GF8800GT dryice emty can't test on HD3870

    But why didnt you overclock the memory on the 8800GT?

    because it's sample card, i can't oc memory if oc it picture will pulpy i think
    problem with Vmem or hot don't sure

    Ah I see. All 8800GTs I have tested could do between 1000 and 1070 MHz on the memory, which made me wonder

    Your 06 score with 3870 is bad...
    E8600 4.5ghz folder

    no joke.. the 2900pro and a q6600 @ 3.6 can outdo that

    ur sm2 and sm3 scores are very bad

    with e4300

    i get these sm2 sm3 scores with 8800gt

    just check

    Your 06 seems really bad for the clocks w/3870XT... my friend managed more at 1.4GHz slower on the CPU and only slightly higher GPU clocks.

    Did you seriously run 1.9v through that chip? :o

    Because if you need 1.9v to get 4.9GHz...that's the worst QX9650 ever.

    I'm not 100% sure (but i think XP), its not my score just at friend at PCAPEX's score. I'll ask him and report back to you though.
