And you dont even understand what you link at.

If I could buy nVidia for under 20billion it would be a steal, since all the stocks are worth more. AMD aint worth 14-15billion but 7.3billion. You seem to forget their debt is pulling them in the other direction aswell.

But nomatter what, to buy something you need to buy the stocks. And the stock value defines the value of a company.
The public's view of a company's value isn't always the same as it might go for...
Anyways, not like it really matters since Nvidia has stated multiple times they won't be selling.

evoic- Congrats, not only on being wrong but on also contributing so well to this thread.

Back ontopic, amazing how Shintai always manages to bring AMD bashing into Intel/Nvidia threads and Intel/Nvidia praising plus AMD bashing into AMD threads, how do you like these awesome motherboards Shin?

Well after owning the Abit 680i crap (twice burned) I am finally ultra stable with my quad at 400FSB and 3.6Ghz and it happened so easily. I am sure I can push it even further but I don't bother yet since the mosfets would need further cooling too. (SB, NB< watercooled now)

But everyone is saying 680i is , if so then show me a better platform to run my monitor @ 2560x1600 with two overclocked 8800 GTxs (or ultras)? Which is this? The 680i and the EVGA is good at this task.

So for the time being THE FASTEST GAMING platform is this; simple as that.
Hardware :Asus Rampage Extreme, 4870X2 (Crossfire X) EK FC Blocks, CPU Q9550@490FSB/4,180Ghz, RAM 4GB DDR3, Auzentech Prelude X-fi,PSU - Thermaltake Toughpower 1200 Watt,
    3 Loops with TFCs360 and a PA.120.2/DDCs.

Beggars cant be choosers. 680i is crap compared to Intel chipsets, but its the only one that you can run SLI on. So some of you are stuck with it. If nvidia allowed SLI on Intel boards I can assure you that they would perform on par with nvidia parts, if not better. No one in their right mind would buy a 680i board then.

Oh please Intel, go into the high-end graphics market, make up your own dual-card configuration, have it blow ATI and nVIDIA away, let it generate minimal heat, consume minimal power, outperform the competition, and give true 1+1 = 2 performance in dual-card configuration.

Let's wait it out and see how triple-SLI is.
To be honest, if manufactuers want to buy a huge heatsink on the northbridge, southbridge, and "SLI-bridge", as long as it is out of the way, and it works, I'm all for it.
I am all for chips not generating that much heat and consuming less power and performing well too, but, hey.

Let's see if nVIDIA's "ghetto" SLI bridge is any good.

well all i can say is i cant wait for skulltrail to come out but the news on the 9800 is trouble some im gonna have to use my artifacting/fragmenting 7900gt till its released T-T. and i for one second that intel should make their own video cards and sound cards i mean a complete package that will use less power and would run and overclock like no other one can only dream about it. but thats imo take it with a grain of salt XD.

    /inq warning

inq claims that 780i wont be out before next year

    /inq warning off

nvidia should really bring out a chipset that can compete with intel's p35, x38 x48.... and not some refurbished (or whatever you want to call 780i) stuff

agreed! Foxconn is heading in a good direction with enthusiast level boards.. the Mars is pretty awesome and even their rev2 680i board is pretty sweet as well.
