You are right, my first tweak is to use a pentium M on air, which needs a 3,1 a64 to be beaten on air or a good X2 cpu like 2,8 or a bit more.

Second, which I have not yet applied is "want extreme points, go extreme cooling", on air that means putting a thermalright sp97 on a 6600gt.

I'll update soon with pics of the vmods and the cooling.

That's a pretty expensive "tweak" . I can't afford to replace either my processor or my motherboard unfortunately .

I just broke 5K with my entire system stock. Only the card overclocked, to 688/1323.

    That's 2.2 GHz of Athlon64 POWAH for you .

I have a DI tube here waiting. SP97 ready to be sent to the cnc mill to be adapted to my 66gt, backplate is also going the same way. First I will max out on air, then will be CPU on DI and after that everything under DI. Will be some real fun.

    Xtreme cooling for Xtreme systems:

SP97 on my 66gt, still have to tweak the mounting to get best contact. Looking awesome so far.

Uh, I have to find something huge to keep up

UPDATE: With ambient temp beeing 22ºC I'm having 37ºC idle temps and 43ºC load temps at 610/1250 core/mem respectively. Have to tune the mounting yet because I'm currently on zip ties+Zalman bracket:
