    FCG,

I am currently using BIOS rev 908. Rev 1073 has been recently released, but I have seen some negative feedback around the web on this release as well. What is your experience with rev 1073?

Edit: I should be a bit more specific. I have seen some feedback that indicates the 1073 BIOS negatively affects DDR2 800 performance.

Holy crap...I was just stopping by to check XS and was I surprised. Hopefully there'll be similar mods available for other i975X boards...because this is outstanding.

    Kudos FCG, excellent job.

What makes this board so desired/used? From what ive seen, most overclockers run from Intel-made boards and use a 3rd party one because of the lack of overclocking options. Is it because this is the only 975 chipset board? Or can you overclock this one as well?

The lastest high end Intel boards are good overclockers, stable and VERY robust. My 955XBK board hit 5 Ghz even with sh*tty ram. The new boards also have basic OC options. Vcore, Vdimm, MCH volt chages, FSB change, mem timing ofcourse etc.

change notification #106056-00 (3/17/2006) mentions that there are 10 resistors and 2 capacitors in addition. does rev302 have those already?

Nope, only revision 304 will have those.

Btw: When is it going to be widely available? This board seems to have a great potential (and with SLI also great power)...

That is sweet dude! Man this makes me wish I went with intel, so then I would have future compatible board for such a killer processor coming out. (heck even Yonah is better then AMD in games and such with speed/speed )

But I thought Intel said that conroe was going to be future compatible with current top of the line 775 chipset 975 mobos out of the box?

WoW! That's seems like a great mobo to me. I wish Asus and DFI would release stripped down versions like this (and sell it cheaper of course).

This mod isn´t required for Conroe support, but it certainly makes much easier take those remaining MHz out of the ram

Thanks FGC the OC Debug mod was easy and works like a charm . Took all of 5 min to solder jumper pins and dig up and old shorting bar.
