I suspect a / some mosfets died but I don't know enough about these things to confirm... just that prodding about shows voltage going into the pwm mosfets and none coming out. Accurate diagnosis or am I talking cobblers? Don't know

EDIT: The cpu/ram in my case was fine btw.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
same thing happen to me. I was playing counterstrike friday night, switch off computer to go to sleep.
first thing on sat, switch on my computer. NOTHING. the power supply refuse to power up, only LED light ON on the YDG motherboard.

    my power supply problem?

reset my CMOS. (PS off) take out all SATA cable, take out graphic card, nothing happen.

Got a new power supply, nothing HAPPEN.

finally take motherboard out of casing and connect minimum parts, NOTHING HAPPEN.

finally attempt CMOS reset with power supply ON. Everything works again.

NOthing is damaged. I have to buy a new ps for nothing.

Recently i performed BIOS upgrade to 1.8, but work well for a few days.

Also i found that my aopen YDG do not like my razer copperhead mouse, it can prevent BIOS from booting. (1.3 BIOS OK, 1.4 above NOK)
I solved the problem by using a PCI USB card.

I also found that it did not like my G15 keyboard. (1.3 OK 1.8 NOK)

But i found that in BIOS, remove USB keyboard support.

if you cannot boot after upgrading bios, take out usb mouse, usb keyboard, put in PS2 keyboard and try to enter BIOS. set default value. boot if OK, put back usb keyboard.

Well, this is motherboard have strange bugs here and there, but all in all, i love it.

I only can go up to 260 FSB on T2400. Which I hope can go better.

Too true. I've got a new T2600 for my board, and it does 262MHz FSB on Chilled Water (-10oC)! That isn't 100% stable on the new CPU but 255MHz seems fine. I was really happy as my old one only did 233MHz.

I was able to push my T2050 to 236MHZ FSB at 1.46volt. I am a little bit hesitating to increase the voltage as the CPU temperature reached 63 degree under full load. Is these the best the stock heat sink can do? Has anyone been able to get higher FSB using stock cooling? Many thanks in advance.

Also, I am able to get on hold of some low voltage or ultra low voltage CPU. Has any one tried any of them? Are they better overclocker?

If you are measuring the CPU temp using the DTS (Intel TAT, CoreTemp etc) then 63 degrees is fine. The mobile CPUs are rated for 100 centigrade and that’s the temp at which they start to throttle.

As for cooling, you can replace the stock cooler with any S478 cooler provided it comes with a mounting bracket or you can buy a S478 bracket on eBay and then use any S478 cooler.

These aren’t available in the normal socket as they are soldered directly to the motherboard so aren’t compatible.

    Many thanks for your reply.

The temperature is reported by speedfan. I assume it should be the temperature measured by DTS. I will raise the voltage to see how far I can push it.

For the low voltage CPUs, they are ES samples so they will compatible. I am quite attempted to give it a try as they are supposed to be the best CPUs available.

    There are different kind available,

    L2300, 1.50G,
    L2400, 1.66G,
    L2500, 1.83G,
    U2400, 1.06G,
    U2500, 1.20G,

    L7400, 1.50G,

I am thinking to get a L2500 or L7400. The former have higher clock speed and lower voltage(15w), but the latter support 64.

I hadn’t realised that ES samples of these chips packaged in a standard socket had been released to manufacturers.

I didn't either. But one of my mates got an u2500 and changed his T2050, the one I am using with my Aopen I975Xa-YDG. U2500 hardly generates any heat. That's why I assume they are good over-clockers.

No, it works with Socket M and not the latest Socket P (Santa Rosa).

    hey guys
maybe someone can help me out

    a couple of days ago i bought a combo T2500 and a aopen 975
booted fine and i tryed to install windows (XP btw)
the cd loads completely and just when the screen when you choose instalation, repair, etc appears the machie will shut down
not a crash, you can ear the hdds shutting off
i tryed a live cd (linux) and it fully loads the cd but when it is ready to start the cd tray will open and i get a message to press enter to shutdown, like i pressed the pwr button

i disconected the sata drives, tryed only with 1 ide optical drive and 1 ide hdd
disconected all usb devices, changed mouse and keyboard to ps2
    used another psu
    another vga
    different ram

it just happens again and again in the exact same place

awesome. it is like running a mac pro.
everything on motherboard works, i need no special patch.

    people you should try it.

too bad T9300 does not work on this motherboard

Hi, how did you you install this?

In the install stage, did you costomize anything or just use default?

    my sound don't work.

    Hi, legends never die.

    I got a T7600G on the board. Running now @ 3,6 GHz (225x16) @ 1,5V on air (Thermalright XP 90c).

Comming soon Watercool Heatkiller. Maybe its good for 3,8GHz.
