i'd say we need the PW for the SOB or else no one is going to be adding, if you have a suggestion UC let me know.

EDIT: I am a 1337 hacker, i got the pw in 18 seconds after typing that

EDIT #2: I know the password for Team XS, if anyone needs it Please PM me or IM me or Email me, whatever is easier for you.
    I downloaded the client http://www.seventeenorbust.com/download/

    Clicked the Config button
    Entered in Localbusinessmen
    Team Name: XtremeSystems

This deb started the team if somehow there is a password we wouldnt know it unless this deb is around. Jmag also joined in this manner?

What tone are you referring to now?

i tried the same thing you tried 5 times, and it never signed me on for XS.

however now that i have added myself via their website it says im on Team XS. and accumulating poitns for XS.

either way deb made the team, and i guessed the password using 1337 h4x.

its pretty simple and is contained in this post somewhere

Yeah I was frustrated with people claiming that you needed a pass .... I still dont take it back when you consider the posts before it . Cause the team name was clearly blank in the SS before that. Thats when I got frustrated because for me all I did was enter in XtremeSystems. Also I thought people were pulling my leg about the pass thing and the SOB setup. Apparently somehow some way people had problems ..... could use a guide post about SOB.

Nope ROCK it out ..... I have already help start two teams post in the last few weeks .... I think a third would be over doing it. I dont know about the password deal and didnt even know if you needed the pass for everyone or not. I know I never needed a password so I am still puzzled?

Cheers for the pass B2urB and a guide would be a good idea. I don't see any problems with the password being on the net as we don't want a pass anyway

    QMC team update:

Currently we are 7th and moving up fast ... we have the top spot in daily production. Wondering if we should start on another physical science team? Ufluids looks promising ...... as it is rather similar to QMC in that we wouldnt have to devote much to take a top spot. Im pulling some QMC resources onto Ufluids try out / Seventeen or Bust. My windows Sempron and my linux A64 will probably run Ufluids with maybe some Seventeen or Bust.

so far; I had trouble regeristing, their site is down alot and i have some WU's on 200% or more?
also it looks like it uses that crappy score system where my lovley X2 gets paired off with some idot's 486
and I get the credit for the 486
Hopefully just getting us on the board should improve our DC-Vault standing.

Well its just a tryout .....its just its really similar to the size and scope of QMC. Theres a lot of projects up there in the physical science area as of right now we have earned a lot in QMC.... anymore is just positioning in that particular project. If we want to go up in the vault significantly we need another team in physical science.

Yeah LHC@home looks dead .... this Leiden Classical looks like a good project to move up in, but they arent letting new people register. Ufluids didnt work so well for me either. In our strongest Vault category MISC I have started an XS MoneyBee team .... dont know much about the project other than its focusing on stocks. It uses processor and I think bandwidth as well, but only a few megs of memory. http://uk.moneybee.net/

QMC UPDATE: We are 5th and moving up again .... right now we dont have the steam to take #1 in this anytime soon. I can say this about QMC even though its in alpha its been trouble free since day one. So anyone looking for a no frills project they can throw a rig on to QMC@HOME. Yet another project Free DC leads us in BTW.

UCMaj.... is there any DC @ home that does not need direct access to the internet other than to download client etc etc. Cos I have a comp or 2 that are all behind tough firewalls and proxies in another country and messing with these will have me hung Anything that I can just let run that doesn't need much net access!

Download the max ammount of work while online then let it crunch for days on end. When finished or whenever you are back online upload the work. QMC and R@H both have WU deadlines. So remember to get your work in on any BOINC project. Seventeen or Bust I believe can be ran offline for a long while I believe as well.

Baaaaah... ya thing is though I can't even register the clients.. they don't connect. and when i went and tried to 'forced it' I got locked out from my work PC for half an hour in terms of email and internet. I work for a company with approx 40k employees so they have big security and very conservative PC usage policy... and the GOD damn resources to back it up.!

BTW There is a BOINC project called BURP http://burp.boinc.dk/team.php

The name is so beautifully vulgar it may deserve our attention Once Rosetta and Ralph domination is achieved ( There is a Free DC Team in this project too)

Its in pre alpha and not on the vault. RALPH is Rosetta Alpha so they arent really different projects. I was hoping we would go to a more established project as our full time interest once R@H #1 is secured. SIMAP, Predictor, or any other BIO/MED Science project since we seem to have no trouble getting interested in those projects. Also I was hoping top get the QMC team to numero uno which will take a little help, get the Seventeen or Bust team into the top 100 (ill get back into that shortly), and majestic 12 into the top 10 which we are diong quite well in.

I would say DPAD, but most of the team has tons of time lead over us. A couple other possible ones are: FightAids@Home (our buddy Hipro is on the Greek team) Riesel LLR, SIMAP, Seventeen or bust, ufluids and maybe ubero. Those are some projects that look good.

Why not start a team on every project in the vault that's still running?

Just one old box in each project has to be better than 0 for the team ranking.

XS is much bigger than the vault ranking would indicate

Hey LBM swing those boxes back to Rosetta so XS can break 500K (or 600K)

My Ufluids trial wasnt all that successful .... took a day to receive any work and then once it was done with that one it didnt download anymore. The server was down more than once I tried to add as well. We could take out SIMAP really quick with all of our firepower me thinks. Seventeen or Bust we are a little out of the game but we can make some headway. Its very much an Intel friendly project so I think we would not want to waste our AMD resources.

I can see what I can do ..... hopefully its enough to get back in the thick of it. Pulling some A64's back onto R@H as we speak.
