sappire 9500?

hi i was just wondering if you can softmod the r9500 non pro 128 mb w/ black pcb to r9700 ??
im thinking of buying it @ newegg

I got a saphire 9500 non pro 128mb oem from googlegear red pcb and it worked wonders on me. I got an instant 3k on 3dmark with the soft mod and then i could clock to 395/303 to get everyhting out of this badboy. Best deal ever!!!!

ok then i think you cant mod this one ... im thinking of buying sappire radeon 9700 non pro.... any1 know if its 2.8 ns memory on them?

I beleive all the Saphire 9700 cards use the 2.8ns Samsung memory, the 9700 Pro uses handpicked i beleive.

ok.. but i live in sweden [ have cusins in usa ] and sappire r9700 non pro use 3.6 ns but not in usa thats weird..
i think i will buy radeon 9700 pro

Well, from what I just found over at the [H] (couldn't find it on anand ), since it memclock is 540, it can get away with 3.6ns.

However, these People claim to be selling it with full 2.8. Oh well, I quit. Not even ATI has anything to offer.

I heard some people got like artifacts in game like checkerboard in games and other weird things... have you noticed any of that?
